RTS Vapes Really?

I've seen a number of recommendations around here for RTS Vapes for eliquid and flavors. I wanted to check them out. Tried from work yesterday and they won't let me because I don't have IE 10 installed. ( IE 10 is not approved for our network) Kind of irritated me but I figured I'd just check it out when I got home. Tried from my computer and ran into the same problem. I can't do IE 10 because I still have XP. So now, in order to view RTS, I have to upgrade to Windows 7? I don't think I'll be using RTS. Wonder how much business they lose due to this. Never seen a website that wouldn't let you veiw it without the latest version of Internet Explorer. Rant Over.

Did you try Chrome? Firefox? I'd recommend either over any and all Internet Exploder versions.

Never recommended using ie of any version. Firefox will give you no issues.

Thanks fellas! I realize I could load another browser at home. Can't do it at work and why should I have to? I could have also moved to another one of the 6 computers at home. Point is, I have never seen a website that would not let you view it without the latest version of IE. They redirect you to the MS website. Guess it's a principle thing. Not a big deal....plenty of suppliers out there that will gladly take my money.

Sounds more like you have malware on your system. The site is using 20 yo UTF-8 coding and Java from 2010.

Both systems, work and home? Malware that directs me to Microsoft? I don't think thats the problem. It comes up and say "To order from this site, you must upgrade to IE 10." I can see the site in the background though. No worries, I'll stick with ecigexpress.

Update: Put in a ticket with RTS. They responded back in less than an hour. Wait...just checked...11 minutes. Impressive. Say their site is restriced to IE9 or higher but will talk to the engineers to see if that's necessary or can be fixed.

i haven`t used IE in 5 years or so because of slowness and many other issues. i hear of a lot of complaints similar to yours. maybe its time to move to a better browser? i`ve ordered a few times from RTS and think they are great.

If this were to get you to switch to another browser, they've actually done you a huge favor. I'm sorry, I don't want to turn this into a computer discussion, but it's true. Also, Microsoft had been desperately trying to force people to upgrade to later versions of IE for some time now.

Yeah, I get all that, however, my point is not everyone has the ability to change browsers therefore they are loosing customers.

I understand your frustration. But I doubt the owner actively attempted to bar customers with old browsers from doing business with him. My guess is he has a guy that manages or at least built his website for him. I wouldn't really expect any small business to try to reach their website with every generation of every type of internet connected device that is or has been in use.

Like I said I feel your frustration. I am a Mac user and I have three browsers on my machine because some websites that I have to use for coursework don't support one or two of the three that I have.

It's essentially a smaller scale version of the Beta/VHS or HD DVD/Blu-Ray format wars.

That's exactly the situation here. (See my post above about the ticket I submitted) Like I said, I am very impressed with the almost immediate reponse I got from them. Curious what their web guy is going to say.
