Been looking to see if a person can purchase a cover like would be on a vial of insulin you can stab with a needle.
I am thinking this would be a good idea for flavorings, a little more accurate then drops, and easier to get at when using a short needle syringe....
But I can find them anywhere, my search engine skills suck very much bad....

a bit off topic but where are you getting your syringes? I know of several places but Id like to find a super cheap place to buy bulk like packaging direct for the glass bottles . i like the rubber cap idea to. not sure i personally would use actual needle syringes because Ive got to many kiddo's at home.

I went to the local co-op(feed store), they have quit a few different sizes..

Will them caps allow the bottle to be upside down while stabbing with syringe???

Wonder if the European dropper that Specialty Bottle has would do the job? I use them with blunt needles and they would also work with sharps. Sorry, haven't found the link yet, but will try to put it up when I do.

well that was quick.... here's a link.... Specialty Bottle - Amber European Dropper Bottles

They're used in chromatography.

Wllmc - this is where I buy mine. It's an awesome place for syringes and needles. http://www.firstoptionmedical.com/mobile/default.aspx

SI4 - you want a product called a pierceable screw cap. If you tell me the bottle sizes you have, I can direct you to a place that sells what you want.

I don't have all the bottles yet,
But I am going to get a few of these:

I have these, for juice and I want to use some for flavoring:

That looks like it, it doesn't have to stay on all the time, just slap it on when I am gonna mix, stab the needle in, boda bing boda bang, change the cap back to seal it and away I go.....;)

These type of caps can stay on at all times. The septum (the material used under the cap) can be pierced over and over and still remain airtight. However, if you're going to take 'em off and on, I imagine you don't need hundreds.

MFS has them for $1 a piece, which is pretty pricey. http://www.myfreedomsmokes.com/bottles-caps/pierceable-screw-caps/

I get mine in bulk quantities from laboratory supply places, so let me know if you want other options.

The 20-400, 22-400, and 18-400 refers to the neck/closure size, so each different sized bottle will need a different size closure. You probably knew this, but I figured I'd say it to make sure you purchase various lids. Packaging Options Direct is superb, in terms of quality, shipping, and customer service, though you probably knew this too.

I'll be princess obvious today.
