Oh my gosh I'm so sorry! Did you try recharging it on the right charger? I didn't think using the wrong charger would completely kill your battery. I did think it wouldn't charge right or it might shorten the lifespan of your battery but battery homicide I never considered.

I did this, also. I realized it, after the battery was on the charger for about an hour or so, so I unplugged it. The battery was really warm to the touch, but the battery was already ruined. When I would put a tank or mini tank on it, it would still light up, but not much power, and then light would dim and go completely off, just after two seconds. I tried recharging on the correct charger, thinking maybe it just shorted the battery, but that didn't work, either. I even held on to it for about a month, thinking maybe it would start working again, but needless to say, it never did! I'm glad it wasn't one of my variable voltage batteries, but I was so disappointed! Now I double check every time I put a battery on the charger!

So sorry to hear that!

I don't have a G6 but it sounds like something I would do!

Can't tell you how many times I have woken up at night and needed a vape but tank was low and refilled with the wrong liquid!

Not a good thing to do.

Maybe put something on the G6 charger that will immediately catch your eye.

A sticker, piece of colored tape, label with G6 written on it.....that's probably what I would have to do!

I have an Ego battery that I used til my Halo gear got to me and in order to utilize it, I buy kanger T2 tanks that look exactly like a Halo tank.

I had to write Kanger in big letter with a sharpie on these tanks cuz I kept grabbing them and trying to use them on my Halo batteries.
Luckily the Charger for the Ego looks completely different than the Halo and of courses the Halo has the logo.

So sorry that happened.

My G6 charger does say G6 right on it. I know I read in a thread somewhere that at one time, they didn't say G6, but mine does. I can't make any excuses, I just didn't pay enough attention. I don't use my G6 as often, so I didn't even notice. (There I go...making excuses). But really, it's a mistake I won't make again. Now, if I do use the G6, I disconnect it from the wall plug right after charging, so that I don't make the same mistake!

Don't feel bad, we all make mistakes and you certainly are not the first I have heard of to make that one.

Believe me I have made some real dumb a** mistakes and we just have to learn from them.

I feel so bad that it cost you a battery though.

Take care,

Cindy

Well, that other thread about the battery exploding is another reason I like one feature of Halo batteries. The protection circuitry. Petermatra used the wrong charger on a battery. Halo protection simply fail-safed the battery. Not to get techy, but it's like a fuse blew in the battery, rather than the battery charging wrong and , well, who knows!!!

I only use name brand genuine batteries and chargers made for them. Always. From the little Lipo batteries that are the size of a stick of Dentyne for my mini RC helicopters, up to 12v automotive batteries, always.

Luckily, my cigalik batts are a different brand, and the bats have female threads, where the Halo stuf has male threads.

Pay attention when charging any battery. And never ever charge a battery unattended.

Ever.

I put pink nail polish on it. But my charger is in an awkward place.

What do you mean, awkward place?

I would NEVER plug the AC part directly into a wall. Then the charging bat is next to the wall! Not good.

Get an extension cord. I use a power strip.

Use a power stip to charge everything, (it's not REALLY a wall charger, plus, it is somewhat flimsy).

Hey, I always go to sleep with my cell phone plugged in on the table next to my bed.....LOL

I also charge cell phone over night, but cell phone batteries were more prone to "don't charge unattended" 6 to 7 years ago, (I remember when my niece got her first cell phone, afraid battery would blow up). I myself had first cell phones for daughter and myself 1999 to 2000. They charged up quickly, stay charged awhile as the years went on (tdma, then gsm), but you wern't supposed to leave them plugged in overnight. Now you can.

Our little batteries are mostly made in china, and these devices aren't regulated. Thus, the price one pays to keep the Feds off back. The Halo batteries are made in USA (I think)?, and have a lot more safety features. The worst (so far) halo bats will do is go kaput. However, both recent problems were attributable to human error, but I do always wonder about those ego knock offs on eBay.

The wall charger IS flimsy (the USB adapter to wall charger always sags, especially with a heavier battery like the VV.) My first mini-wall charger bit the dust after 7 months. But how is it not REALLY a wall charger?

I have plugged my mini-wall charger directly into the wall daily for 8 months no problems. The way I see it, eliminating variables like surge protectors/extension cords can't hurt, but that's my basic assumption. I never leave a battery plugged into the charger past the solid blue light.

I hope these new Batts come soon. I never got a confirmation ship email.

I ordered 2 x 30ml bottles last night, this is the first time I never got a shipment confirmation email the next morning from halo, weird.

Maybe he means the mis-named stuff. The box that plugs into AC and has a USB port is an adapter, AC to USB adapter. The little part that screws onto the bat and plugs into the USB port is a charger.

I use the extension cord to the adapter, then the bat lays on the floor.

Or I'll use a USB extention cable when I charge at work from the desktop. Either way, the bat lies flat.

And there's very little watts used to charge.
