The first self-made recipe I'm really happy with. Tastes exactly like the Bacardi Rum Runner mix that comes in those frozen cardboard cans.

Rum Runner

  • 4% Banana Ripe (TFA)
  • 3% Blackberry (TFA)
  • 2% Pineapple (TFA)
  • 2% Jamaican Rum (FA)
  • 2% Tart n Sour (LA)
  • 1.5% Mandarin (FA)
  • 1% Citrus Punch (TFA)
  • 1% Brandy (FA)
  • .5% Pomegranate (FA)
You can probably get away with not using the brandy, pomegranate, maybe even the rum, but use 'em if you've got 'em. Adjust percentages if subbing TFA for FA. The banana needs about 3 days to calm down, after which the mix takes on its own unique flavor.

Citrus Punch is a sharp, sour lemon-lime-maybe-orange. It's their old Mtn Dew flavor, but it reminds me of sour mix. TFA's Banana Ripe is in-your-face candy banana which mimics the banana liqueur well, not sure if you can get that out of FA Banana. I've read some bad things about FA Blackberry. Maybe a little heavier on the banana, lighter on the blackberry with some extra pomegranate or raspberry to compensate? Not sure. You'll know the balance is right if the banana and blackberry disappear into a flavor all its own. Good luck, it definitely is tasty! :toast:
