Running kanthal and ss in joule mode on the Ipv d2?

im just wondering if doing this in the long run will damage my chip since it not the rite wire for its mode, I understand that tc dont work rite with these wires but i like to build low around .15 ss and dont like smoking it at high voltage(singed cotton taste).... because of the no step down feature

You're fine with either, so's the D2. Damn lack of step down.

You can get a decent TC with the SS in Titanium mode if you lower the temp 70 to 100F from what you would expect. I think you run out of adjustment trying SS in Ni mode, will barely go low enough for most folks. So keep that in Ti, or Watts if it's low enough res.
The Kanthal of course wont get any TC benefits, but just put the temp high and lower the Joules to where you would have wanted the watts... as you know.

Yea I did a dry cotton test on ss in temp mode last week just to see what happened... i think it was a .25ohm dual coil 9 contact wraps 2.5 id ...20j 230f burnt that stuff up lol but I re wicked it and it vaped ok just started getting paranoid about burning up my chip lol im new to tc.
