I know I know, with thick juice comes rewicking. I'm hoping to find a new way to build my coil and wick so that I don't get carbon build up after 3 days of vaping. So that being said, my current build is 28 gauge kanthal, 12/11 wrap on a 2.5mm drill bit, micro coil with organic unboiled cotton sitting on a Provari. Coming in at 1.7 ohm

Objective.
Coil and wick that doesn't get carbon build up so fast.

I can go nearly a month on a wick with my peppermint mix at 50/50. I want to be able to go at least that long on my 100% vg bobas bounty.

If you use less cotton, it helps. It basically provides more flow of liquid to the coil, faster, because it has less wick to travel through. With that in mind, when I vape a heavy VG juice, and I still have to change the wick after about 15ml of eliquid. If the eliquid has chocolate in it, it lasts even less.

Clear fruity flavors seem to last a bit longer. But I rarely run them through my Kayfuns, because they may crack my middle plastic tank section.

It's that it's not entirely possible. I vape heavy vg and have learned just to re wick after about 10-15ml. If it even lasts that long. Some of my 50/50 juices are the same. The reduced chamber doesn't help either.

I'm quoting this as a form of a second "like."

Check out the wick options... There are more options than silica and cotton. Ceramic might be what you're looking for..

although you wouldn't have to change out the wick like cotton, you would still have to open up the Russian to dry burn it, even with ceramic. unfortunately the Russian or kayfun likes are great, they don't open up without draining, because of this it does take some time to do (unlike lets say a genny) so if one has to open up the Russian to dry burn its really a wash in time because to simply thread a bit of cotton thru at this point compared to dry burn is pretty much equal.

^true. I use to love my kayfun tanks... they've been collecting dust since I started lung hitting all the time.. didn't think about that at all.. might need to see if I know how to put one together still. :)

I'm waiting to hear about kayfun 4..I would've thought we would've heard something more by now.

Nice 3mm+ air holes.. easily closed off for single coil operation, glass tank, and capability to troubleshoot build with tank full. That's all I can think of to improve on what's already there... maybe larger wick wells.

sounds great that 4.1 kayfun for sure. although i don't do much lung hitting, i recently opened up my kayfun to 3/32 (i think) the one size above 5/64th's. with this modding, i am now able to lung hit. the ability to work on coils without taking the juice out will be big for sure, kind of like my aqua.

Yeah..I was just spitting out what I/many would like in it.. I was told expect news in the spring around November...so I'll start being more vocal about my impatience when summer starts.

I should open my eh pros to where I'd like them.. but I'm finding my magmas and origen to be less of a hassle..magma is almost on par with the kayfun flavor wise.. really moist. When I first started in RBAs and got heavy into kayfuns, I would've never thought I'd ever say dripping is less of a hassle than keeping up with a kayfun..but like you pointed out, the reduced chamber is hell on wicks.

I pretty much have the kayfun down to a science and it performs awesome 99 percent of the time so when im out and about its one of my favs. when home and find the need for some serious vaping I use my drippers but I never drip out.
