Hello all,
Been a while since I have been on the forum. Quick topic for those who have been current with tank clones and set up. Has anyone had any issues with The Russian 91% and set up on a Provari v2. I am sold on the Russian 91% and have been considering pulling the trigger with the Provari v2. Basically looking to expand my small collection and take the plunge into a regulated device with a tank.
I saw a youtube clip and was led to believe there may be an issue with having to adjust the center pin out pretty far and in turn ending up with a less than reliable connection with fluctuating connection.
Any and all insight with he above setup is greatly appreciated.

I have the setup you're contemplating (RV1 and Provari Mini V2) and have not had problems. I do find that the adjustable center pin screw is very loose, but it does not need to be extended very far and I've had no contact problems. However, if I screw it on to the provari too tightly, it will wind the center pin up into the shaft and end up moving the block.

Keep in mind that a 91% V1 with the adjustable pin may be hard to find. The V2 that most vendors are selling has had some serious issues with the "spring loaded" center pin.

Just screw in the top of the pin very tight to the block & use two small o-rings on the adjustable screw and it holds it very firm. Have never had another problem with the block moving or the screw being loose since I did this.

OP, been using the R91 on a ProVari and it is an awesome combo.
