Russian Big on a CFIV building questions

So this is what it looks like! I know it looks kinda goofy and all top heavy... Now comes the good part!

The Russian Big came with some wire (no specs on it... so it's kinda scary for me to just start building) and some string (I assume it's for wicking, but again, no idea what it actually is).

What would be the best gauge of kanthal that I need to start building? (I'm aiming for a 1.2 - 1.5 ohm coils) How do I figure out the diameter of the coil? Do I have to buy a certain set of tools, or can I use my standard micro screwdrivers (or the screwdriver that came with the Russian Big)?

Any particular type of tips would be greatly appreciated. From all the videos I have seen the deck is exactly the same as the Russian 91% and the kayfun lite.

Ok, I just looked at some pictures of it and it appears the deck is the same size as the smaller ones.

Coil: try something in the 2.4mm range. A 3/32" drill bit or a precision screwdriver will do.

8 wraps of 27g will get you about 1.3 ohms. 7 wraps of 28g will get you around 1.4 ohms.

The string is silica. I prefer rayon or organic cotton.
