I don't understand why so many people are opting for the $7 fasttech IGO-L over the sub $15 real IGO-L. The real ones will not do this, and are a hell of a deal considering what you get for your money.

I agree. FT has plenty of great deals on genuine items. Everything else is a crap shoot. If I'm going to save $20 or $30 on a mod that's one thing, but a few bucks when I can grab one around the corner? forget it. My $10 Octopus works like a champ, why roll the dice for $3 'savings' at FT? JMO

If stainless is cleaned or polished with mild steel products, they will develop surface rust. Do not use steel wool or steel wire brushes to clean or polish them. Use only stainless steel, fiber or sandpaper to clean and polish stainless steel.

I can't argue with that, but the grade of SS has a lot to do with how a SS (whatever- take your choice from silverware to an appliance finish) will perform from an oxidation standpoint.
