That's funny, you say you use the RX as an ohm meter.. I use my more expensive dna 200 as an expensive paperweight... It quit firing when it blew the fuse, (we think)..meantime been using my two RX mods with great success, and I'll let the dna sit until I feel like sending it in for repairs...

As far am I'm concerned these two RX200 mods were the best value I've gotten in new mods in a very long time..going on 4 mos trouble free..[emoji106]

I would keep that tank far away from those RX200's.

All of these tanks ...Smok tfv4,U well Crown,Arctic and Atlantis all seem to have the same thread length within half a mm. So is Wismec saying they will only warranty the Rx 200 if you use Wismec tanks only ?????
Oh..I've been using the TFV4, Crown and recently the Griffin tanks without any issues at all..Griffin is even adj, and I've got the 510 pin screwed in tight all the way up....but I see your warning about pins being too long maybe...good point :)

Cruizy send it back to your seller and get a replacement you likely got a dud unit which happens with all mass produced stuff all mine are still going strong months later so yours is not the norm. Hope you get it sorted and can start enjoying the mod.

Ok so i have decided to keep it and take it apart , i got it cheap so ill just buy another one. I might even see if i can get the DNA chip for it, has anyone done the conversion....??
The evolv 200 chip is approx $80 then you need battery sled face plate and I'm sure there will be more internals needing switched

Just opened my black RX200!
Super stoked!
Been using it for an hour with no issues.

It came with firmware version 3.0, is that the current one?

Also, the built in ohm reader is only a .03 difference than my separate little ohm meter. Not bad!

Its this mech users first regulated mod and I am really digging it right now.
Got some SS also today to throw on it.

Basically Wismec has been coming up with every excuse possible not to grant people's warranties. I tried getting them to fix my ribbon issue in my Reuleaux DNA 200 and they claimed it wasn't an issue unless my mod quit working. Conveniently for them, this would have been after the warranty already expired. I have also seen a couple reports from RX users being denied warranty service because they weren't using 25 amp batteries like the VTC4's.

I guess when we buy the RX200 we have to treat it carefully ...thanks to this thread we are all informed of its little intricacies.

And that's why I always say that if you buy an RX, buy it online for the $40 and don't pay the B&M markup. $40 is a lot easier to take a hit on over the $80 to $100 shop price.

There is also a little hack people have been doing to use the TFV4 and other tanks like it. If you use a rubber washer on the bottom of the tank, it won't screw in as far to damage the 510.

That is a really good hack....especially if it saves the mod. :thumb:
