Welcome and glad you joined.
Quick question anyone have a diy recipe for ry4?I'm thinking of mixing 10% American tobacco 4% vanilla custard and 4%caramel candy any thoughts
Not sure what your asking with respect to RY4?
Are you thinking of adding RY4 along with AT or substituting AT w/ RY4 in the above recipe?
If you are thinking of substituting RY4 for AT, could try using TFA RY4 (Double) at 5% to start.
Not familiar with the AT American Tobacco flavor. Might want to post the blender of flavors in the future.
Could check out this recipe and substitute any tobacco flavor and should work just fine.

Flavours from different producers are not concentrated in the same way. Some need 3-4 % others 10 % or more.
I would mix single flavour liquids until they taste ok. Then mixing two single liquids. Then give the third liquid in the dual liquid and so on.
And I would start with lower concentrated flavour. It's easyer to boost the flavour than to degrade it.

I think he's trying to create an RY4 flavor without using TFA's RY$ flavoring - maybe he didn't know it existed. TFA didn't create the original RY4 - it's just a "flavor" defined as including tobacco, vanilla, and caramel (I think).

Sounds good, assuming you like those flavors at those percents. As mentioned earlier, tobacco, vanilla and caramel are the basics for a Ry4 type mix.

I agree with your efforts to create your own RY4 mix rather than using TFA RY4 Double, which is severely lacking in tobacco flavor. And I found I strange flavor in Hangsen's RY4 flavoring as well. Try your own is the best way to do it.

I would start with the American Tobacco (I'm guessing Flavor West, right?) at 5% and 2% of vanilla custard and caramel. I would recommend at least a two week steep, four weeks would be best - it takes awhile to tobacco flavors to smooth out and taste decent. See how that tastes and adjust your percentages from there. My experience is that vanilla flavors vary wildly in their optimum percentages before they overwhelm the mix, and you may end up with a bit more caramel than vanilla to even out the taste because caramel tends to "blend" in rather than stand out.

While mixing up your RY4, take the opportunity to mix up separate batches (5ml or so) of each individual flavor. That way you can taste each component of your mix to see if you're happy with the flavor profile. I've tried about 20 tobacco flavors so far and they are all vastly different. You'll find a particular brand that suits your taste buds. A lot of people like Hangsen, I'm finding that Inawera is more to my liking as they are more forward in their tobacco flavor.

Agreed. It tastes awesome IMO but needs help. I add Inawera Dark Tobacco, Tobacco Absolute or SC RealCig to TFA RY4D whenever I use it so I can actually taste some tobacco, LOL.
