Sokay... I feel like the heart of this thread has been overrun by talk of "burning cartos"--which it was not intended to be about; although, I'm happy to hear about people's experiences, the responses are still missing the mark.

I was asking if anyone has taken these things apart and noticed if anything "changed in the construction"; thus, the "consistency" in the thread title.

I didn't have a chance to take apart the older volt carts cause they were before my time, but those ones that I saw in a review appeared to be different in design. I just wanted to know how they were different in design.

Thanks to sln88, I think I've found my answer--or close enough to it--lying somewhere in the official Smokeless Image Thread, where "Imagine" (thread manager) confirmed that the SI Volt cartomizers haven't changed; thus, letting me know that what I thought I saw, really wasn't any different from what the SI Volt carts are today.

I hope that made sense.

Edit: I realize that not all responses missed the mark... Even those that did, it's all good.

Hm... Mine has 2. A Black, thin plastic'y layer. A White, thicker layer, then the now sticky and gooey, bare metal housing.
What flavor did you get?
Cant comment on consistency cause ive only gotten one pack of carts from SI... Interesting thing that i found though... Theres 3 layers of material covering the carts... Take the 2 outer layers off of the cart and you are left with a BLOOG label on the last layer before the metal housing!
