If you also use one of those little blue pills the head can last a loooooong time.

Aha. See? It's you this time, Snake O' Blue.

Thank you for the lovely little mod holder pouch, Mr. Big D and J -Drunkoid. Very thoughtful indeedy. You DID intend to size it PERFECTLY to hold the B Box, right? ;)

I was "advised" (translate: yelled at) by Drunk J NOT to fill the tank in my experimentation phase of trying out the Sabot. (Little did he know my "fills" are 1/2 fills anyway.)

I lost only a bit of vliquid in the cartopusherectomy activities, so no bigs. :)

As the inebriated one knows, I'm using the same stock coil head that I used with the traveling tester Sabot. It works and is working well. I have not had much luck with a flavor wicked coil......... YET.

Onwards and vapewards.

Not a fan of half filled tanks.

I like to leave about a ml worth of air bubble. Air vacuum is a big part of what regulates how much juice gets to the wicks. More air at fill up, or any sort of air leak, and there isn't proper vacuum to hold back the juice from flooding.

In fact, I generally try to refill at about 2/3rd empty to prevent flooding which is more likely to occur once the tank gets down to around 1/4 full.

Hmmm, didn't realize I had a brand spanking new Billet Box bag Katdarling! Maybe I can not destroy my new BB lol.

You may be right on the Bill Nye approach to tank fills, but so far, I've been fine with mini fills and even just a tad of liquid at the bottom of the tank. So far, operative words. I generally do not care for that much vliquid swimming around being pulled, pushed, heated, shaken (not stirred), so 1/2 fills are my whole fills. ;)

You didn't know those pouches are perfection? Oh my goodness me oh my, Big D! Perfect fit!

Think my post got taken out of context. Kat was swapping atomizers around testing a couple of different ones. So less in the tank makes.for less mess when swapping. Then I said all RBAs should have a small pocket of air in normal use. Was not saying 1/2 tank for normal use at all. That would defeat the purpose of having a large tank.

So we are saying the same thing. Just testing should be less.

Well crap. Thought you were talking about my post.......oh well, at least we agree.

Dizzy with delight? Change and I do not like each other. But I am thinking this will be THE change I want.

Has anyone determined how long a head will last? Stock head I mean?

If you're able to dry burn the silica wick and coil, and replace the top wicks at cleaning, they typically will last a very long time. Otherwise, depends on your juice since the coil will become gunked up long before the coil wears out.

For those that are into rebuilding, I actually have heads that have been rewicked many times and are over a year old. I bought three new packs when it became clear that we were going to be able to move ahead with the SABOT-DDD build. Figure I'm set for years, but will buy a few more if it ever looks like Smok is going to discontinue the ARO line.

Hey if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

On the other hand, if you get a case of the gurgles, or whimpy flavor from a juicy wick:facepalm:, fill er up!

I received my Sabot DDD's today.I put one in some 91% iso for a few hour's,then washed it under hot water and dried it all off. When I was assembling it,I also had to change a coil head on my MT3s,so I attached it to the DDD base and it fit it fine, with no overhang.I could not check the size with my digital calipers though, the battery was dead.lol I did set it up with a stock 2.4 ARO head, and so far it's doing great.I may try the MT3s head next time.Thank you for the great co-op!

Yeah, you go for it, J! YELL ALL YOU WANT!

We call that "talking" around my house.

I am not alone! So there, Kat ;-)

No, take the red pill and see how deep the rabbit hole goes!

I can respond to this one, but I am choosing not to.
