Sad Day for my V-V Ali'i

mods I dont know where to put this as R+R is only in this forum ... Move as needed

I got this in on first of the month. First day had a ton of atty issues till I got one on it, it liked. Then it became my fav mod fast!

I knew it was not durable just looking at it but didn't think this would happen so easy ....

Fell off the Kitchen table onto a vinyl floor about 15-20 minuets ago

The battery door didn't even fall off in the fall....

The one thing that stopped me from buying one of these is the shape of the juice cover. It always looked a little weak to me in it's design - although it is attractive & looks comfortable to hold. Really sorry for your loss, but that one cover shouldn't be hard to replace.

Have you contacted Ryan yet? He is SUPER easy to work with and very invested in his customers. He has worked with me when I did some stupid things with my journeyman ( 100% my fault). Ryan has OUTSTANDING customer service...

I have not said anything to Ryan as of yet. The door had a few small flaws anyways, I'm not crying over it. Have the Buzz as a back up till I fix or have ryan fix it depending.. I'd glue it but there is no real surface area for glue to take to. I do have med and thick CA to try and patch it if need be but thats just a bandaid.

I'd like to ask Ryan to make me a new door less the I/O switch hole. Any time I use it it puts my batts into off (safe) anyways. So Id remove the I/O and have a full door in hopes its stronger. Thats up to him, I'm at his will ...

yea just get him to send you a new door, i wouldn't be surprised if he didn't make you pay, even though that's kinda your fault. I've actually thought about that happening when holding that door. figure if i were to squeeze it real hard.. snap.

next time make sure you drop it on carpet

It had to have fell just right for this to happen. It didn't fall hard and the magnets didn't even let the batts or batt door pop off ! My kids head almost did though (pop - off ). jk, I kept my cool. How IDK.. Lap top into book, book into Ali'i, poor mod into floor . She was more upset then me.

Really shocked...I believe that was Buginga? If so, that wood should take a beating like no other. I know first hand, I used to sing in a band, and the drummer had a set of Tama Starclassic Bubinga Drums, retail $2500. One of the best on the market because of that wood construction....you must have hit the grain dead on.
