hi everyone..today i just shorted out my only reo grand, because of the adapter i use..
the firing pin is ok, no bend or break..still can use...the collapsed spring i pull it up and looks ok..
then i test it with on load meter, its drop 1.0volt...before this on load drop only 0.2-0.3..
other than i send it to rob, what else can i do?as its my only mod i currently have..vaping it with 3.1v+- is not happy for me..pls help..

You can replace the spring yourself. Rob sells them. I had to replace one of mine. I wouldn't use it if the spring has collapsed.

thanks for the reply, yeah it might be the spring, because it turns to brown color like burning mark all over the coil..no good for electrical contact maybe..

Yes, you need to replace the spring. It would be better for Robert to check it out, but you can do the replacement yourself. Pick up a couple of springs from reosmods so you will have a replacement on hand.

Does your REO have a regular screw on the bottom holding the spring or a hex screw?

Pm sent a new spring and a positive contact cleaning should have you back in action

thanks everyone, already done a cleaning on tip of the firing pin and put a noalox, now it back to normal..on load voltage now ok.. need to order some replacement spring after this..my reo has a regular screw on the bottom spring..

I highly recommend keeping a couple springs always on hand. As a matter I think I'll take my own advice and order some now

I've not blown a spring yet, but when I ordered my second mini a couple weeks ago, I also got two extra springs just in case. Don't want to be without my minis.
