Can't add much as this post speaks my thoughts as well. My mother lost her battle with lung cancer this last december. We thought she had beat it, but it came back and got into her bones. She was diagnosed as terminal the week before this last Thanksgiving with weeks...maybe months left. As she progressed in her hospitalization at MD Anderson, the doctors had cut it down to days...maybe weeks. She came home shortly before Thanksgiving and I was SHOCKED at her mental status when I picked them up at the airport here. Not a couple of weeks later and I was making a panicked drive to their home for her last days here on earth. Fortunately my SIL was able to get my brother home from out in the middle of the desert in Iraq and get him home before she passed.

BTW---she never smoked a day in her life.

Nasty stuff that cancer. One can only hope and pray that they find a cure soon!

...I am SO sorry for your loss. Losing a loved one is never easy. Will stop right now and pray for you, and the entire family, that each and every one of you will be uplifted by God's presence, love, and grace in this difficult time.

God bless each of you.

Lovingit- Very sorry to hear. Lost my father to lung cancer last July- was glad to have this community around, just having people I didn't know share their stories with me and so forth was quite comforting.. Hope you find the same. My heart goes out to you and your family. You're surrounded by a great group of people here on ECF. We might not be your neighbors but we're there with you regardless :)
