I've been off the forum for a couple of weeks. I'm posting in this forum because I consider you all my vaping family.

My mom was hospitalized with pneumonia and was very, very sick. She was released about a week ago, and she is staying with me for now.

While in the hospital, she was diagnosed with end-stage lung cancer. She has multiple tumors in both lungs. She's 77 and has smoked for over 60 years.

Everyone here knows I'm a big fan of the V4L Vapor King, but this message is for anyone still smoking regular analog cigarettes. Whether you choose a Vapor King or another e-cig model, for God's sake please quit smoking NOW! You never know when the bullet is going to strike.

Smokers who get lung cancer usually end up with small cell carcinoma. It is the fastest-growing, most lethal kind. I will probably have my mom around for a few more months if that. I am so sad. But I can't let my emotions show, because I have to take care of her first and foremost.

Please don't delay in making the switch. Your family and friends do not want you to die this horrible, painiful death. If you don't like the first e-cig you get, try another. If that one doesn't work, then try another one. Do not give up -- many of us have successfully quit smoking analogs, and you can, too.

Moonstruck, our hearts go out to you, and your Mom is in all of our prayers. Take whatever time you can afford to give, and be at as much peace as you can, knowing you are a loving child. You sound like you need some support, and we, will all be here, for you.

Thank you for sharing.

I buried my Mom, 5 years ago, who passed on my 15th wedding anniversary. It will forever be a bittersweet day. I buried my Day last Sept, who had COPD, and empheseyma. This is why, after I was able to quit smoking with these miracle products, V4L was formed, built, and exists today.

Please, let us know, if we can help you an ANY way, with any issues, for either you, or Mom.

Regards

Steve, Mel, Mark, Mariano, and the restof the V4l staff.

Moonstruck, I am so sorry about your mom. At this difficult time, just be there for her as much as you can. I went through this 2 months ago when I lost my mom, she survived lung cancer only to die of compilcations of COPD and Thyroid problems. But she never quit smoking, even after lung surgery, 70 years of smoking is a hard habit to break.
My prayers are with you and yours.

I'm so sorry to hear this Moonstruck. And thank you for the reminder, every time I am tempted to grab tobacco, I'm going to remember your post. Thank you for thinking of others when you really need to be thinking only of your mom and yourself.

Take care and if you need anything, please let me know.

I am so sorry to hear about your mother. I agree with you about getting off the cigarettes. I think the tobacco industeries are murderers and yet I am still smoking myself. Take care of yourself and God bless

Thank you all so much from the bottom of my heart for your kind words, thoughts, prayers, and hugs.

We are hanging in there and Mom has improved somewhat from the pneumonia. I am hoping that she will be able to return home even if only for a short time. That would make her really happy, and I think we will try that for a week or two and see how she does. But she will have to live with me until the end of her life, just so I can take care of her when she needs it. It's very important to me that she is surrounded by her family -- her daughters, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren when the day comes.

She has declined treatment, I think mostly because of the stage of the cancer and her age. She has had emphysema and COPD for many years, so she really would not be able to tolerate chemo or radiation very well, and I think she realizes that.

Again, thank you all so very much for your support. I'll try to remain as active on the forum as I can when I have the time.
