I've heard of people who use a nail file and sharpen the point on the screw that goes down into the carto. Maybe that would help you. Or you might spring for a device specifically made to punch cartos.

I tried the saddle valve, and couldn't do it that way myself. I use something like this....

And you're less likely to get metal shavings if you use this instead of a dremel tool. Just a thought.

YES! What r7 has posted is what I actually have...along with a whole slew of these screws...

Thanks r7, I couldn't find marks post yet again! lol!

I found this to be MUCH easier to use than a saddle valve. But a note that you won't hear a 'pop' when you punch through the carto...atleast I don't. I have found that turning the screw 2 and 1/4th turns gets the job done nicely!
