sorry if there's another thread, but i did a search and couldn't find one.

ok, so i just heard about the whole diacetyl thing (which is unfortunate, since i really love the buttery flavors). are there any flavors out there that pose less of a risk (aside from unflavored, or just plain tobacco)?

i really like vanilla and cream type flavors in general, but i'm willing to switch over to fruitier ones.

thanks all.

The only things I know about in terms of risk are diacetyl (in butter and creme flavors) and what ever it is that causes some plastics to melt, as in cinnamon and a few other juices. If plastic melts, you would think that it gets into the vape. I'm watchful with my polycarbonate tanks.

Maybe someone can tell us what the plastic melting additive might be. Here's a thread about what melts plastic.

thanks. i just emailed my favorite vendor asking about it, but i'm also wondering if there's anything else i should be on the lookout for. i'm iffy about the sucralose, but i really like the taste in the liquid.

good to know that most u.s. vendors don't use the diacetyl though.

Don't quote me on that, but the US vendors I have ordered from make a point of stating that they don't. I think juice is like anything else nowadays - there are some companies that just want to make $ and will cut corners to save money, but there are also smaller companies that care about their customers and put out products that they would be comfortable using themselves.

Actually, there are quite a few buttery creamy flavorst that have some.......some vendors will reveal. That's what I want:

Less than 1%, but it's in there. so you have to wonder how many other creamy coffee, capps, etc. have it but the vendors dont reveal., etc. I know VV absolute line has none. YOu often have to write to the vendors.

Less than 1% is pretty small though, but at least the class outfits TELL you

I thought the melting plastic issue is from the citric/malic acid and cinnamon based juices. The problem with diacetyl is that overexposure is a potential cause of bronchiolitis obliterans(popcorn lung).
