Safest nicotine level/mg to "chain vape"???? (newbie here) :)

Ok, so I am 31, no health problems whatsoever. ;) However, I have smoked 1/2-1 pack (usually one pack), of Pall Mall Reds shorts for almost 9 years now.

I just started vaping (Although I am not totally off analogs just yet)--but down to about 5 a day (which is a big step for me already..lol).

I find that I don't NEED or even want an analog since getting my new Vapor4Life ecigs and my Volcano Infernos. The first day I got my kits one morning, I just sipped on coffee and for 1 hour straight, vaped on a pre-filled cartridge that had only 11mg, and then wanted to try my new Razzwow yummy ejuice (11mg), and dropped about 6 drops into one of my blank carts. (Tasted good by the way!!), vaped and just chilled all morning...

BUT...then noticed my heart started racing a bit, which then sent me into a panick attack (which I NEVER get those--only once when I was taking some stupid diet pills years ago).

Now I DO know that sometimes we can get "withdrawls" while vaping because our bodies still might be craving the other unknown chemicals in real ciggarettes--but this couldn't have been the case, since I also had about 4 real ciggs that morning before my kits were delivered to me).

The good news is, I never felt sick or got a headache...BUT...was extremely jittery and had like papulations...or felt like...I was fine a few hours after that...but now ever since that happened, I find myself WANTING to vape (like I chained smoked every morning)..but is too darn scared that I will overdose...:(

I read ppl on here that is able to chain vape all day on higher levels of nicotine...but for some reason 18mg or 11mg (chain vaping) is way too high for me..:(

So I recently bought a bottle of 8mg and 4mg....is that ok enough for me? I also Ive zero, but I find my body really needs some nicotine. Again, right now, I am still using analogs (but only out of fear of getting too much nicotine)..I know weird, since real ciggs are MUCH more dangerous for you.

But I am way confused..because I have read different calculations about levels of mg in nicotine..

1. Some say that every 20 drops of nic juice equals 1 ml of the mgs you are getting from your ejuice bottles...is this correct?

2. I've read that ONE "real" analog only contains up to 1.7 mg of nicotine in each cigg. Is that true? (maybe why ppl can often smoke 1-3 packs a day without overdosing since it takes then an entire pack to get up to 20mg-34mg)..while vaping and constant dripping of 18mg + higher can send someone into overdose side effects?) ????

I know this might sound crazy, but my mind is telling me that real ciggs (only when it comes to nicotine levels)--is "safer" :(...and I KNOW ecigs are much much safer..but I am way to scared to overdose and I want to vape all I want-without fear of nicotine poisening (to make things worse, I also have a phobia of vomitting--which nicotine poisening has the number 1 effect) :(
I would say it is withdrawls while vaping--except I am not totally off analogs yet--so I know it is not that..

Anyhow..I LOVE ecigs and I LOVE vaping..I'm just terrified of getting nicotine poisening...and I am completely jealous of ppl who say they get to chain vape on 18mg, etc..lol....because I really do want to throw away my ciggs and just vape 100%. :)

Any help here on how much we are actually getting per drop? Or how many drops make 1 ml? And if so, how many ml is the nicotine levels we are getting from a 11mg bottle, or 8mg bottle, or 4mg bottle?

Sorry I am sounding crazy..and I LOVE this forum :)

Vaping is less efficient in getting nicotine into your system than smoking. From polls on this site, 24mg nicotine strength is the most common strength level. Many vape 36mg regularly. I would suggest you let your own body tell you what works for you. Your symptons, however, could have as much to do with not smoking than with vaping. There is more than just nicotine in an analog which your body has grown use to.

I 'chain vape' 36mg most of the time. The right nic level varies from one person to the next.

On my very first day vaping I had symptoms somewhat similar to what you describe ... heart palpitations, jittery. But, that only lasted a few hours for me and probably had more to due to excitement than it did to nicotine, LOL.

To help clear up at least some of your concerns you should understand that your body absorbs only a very small amount of the nicotine in your juice. Some figures: My 36mg juice contains 36 milligrams of nicotine per milliliter. I use 3-4 ml per day.
If I was actually absorbing all of the nicotine in that juice (108-144mg) it would be akin to smoking 5-7 packs of cigarettes a day (nicotinewise anyway). Vaping just doesn't get most of that nicotine into your bloodstream.

Oh, and judging from your handle I would've thought you could answer your own question, LOL. Sorry, heh

If you are really troubled by your symptoms you should cut out the nicotine entirely, at least for long enough to establish that as the cause of those symptoms. Go to 0mg juice for the experiment. Or stop vaping entirely for a long enough period to determine if it is vaping which is the cause. There's some possibility that it is another component of the juice you're using which you're reacting to.

Or, maybe you're excited. :)

You might be right...the excitement ;)

I also always wonder why I can't answer my own questions...but that's the one thing us readers for some reason can't do..lol.

When it comes to health or drinking, drugs, etc...I am always scared...I never been drunk enough where it made me sick (ever)..because of my phobia..lol...(which is a good thing I guess), and I never take medications.
I even work out 5-6 days a week and eat very clean and healthy. ;)

But I do have ADD and seem to have focus issues if I havnt had a cigg...lol..(all of us nicotine addicts tend to be that way anyways). ;)

I think it may have been side effects of having 2 cups of strong coffee, 4 analogs that morning, then 1 hour of nonstop vaping on 18mg and 11mg..?

One question..do ALL ejuices contain the same chemicals? I know they all use either PG, or VG or both, and nicotine...but is there others that may be using other unknown that may cause jitters?

And thank you for your reply....so how many "drops" (if I am dripping my 4mg into one of my carts) equals 1 ML?

Depending on the size of drops, about 20 drops per mL, and welcome the ECF from another
36mg / mL chain vaper.

You may have upped the nicotine you were absorbing by smoking, which gives you a quick,
large hit absorbed, followed up by the chain vaping, which would give you a slow, smaller,
continuious hit of nic. The combination may have upped the levels more than you needed,
listening to your body, when it says "I need more, or I need less nicotine" is your best indication.

I find around 16 - 18mg is good for daytime vaping and only around 11mg for evening vaping. anything higher than 11mg a few hours before bed and I get a rushing in my eardrums and can't sleep. Am even thinking of going down to 6mg for evening vaping at home. I also notice the nicotine stimulant effect from smoking is instant and then wears of quickly whereas from vaping it starts off slow but the build up can last for literally hours on end hence my low mg vaping at home in the evening. I think with low mg strong flavors compensate for the nicotine.

I ran into this issue myself. I ended up cutting my 18mg down to around 8 or 9 mg. This ended the palpitations, etc. Everyone is different, but I've learned that personally I can't handle anything over 12. I would just start cutting juice until you find a level that satisfies the nicotine monster but doesn't make you feeling jittery and ick.

I'm normally at 6ml a day of 20mg/ml Red Cow. Maybe 8ml a day on the weekend while I'm workin on the website. I was 3 pack a day smoker before I started vaping, so that might be the difference. Only time I think I have OD'd on nic was when I grabbed a bottle of 200mg/ml nic and made a 2ml test batch of a new flavor. I normally mix with 60 mg/ml but I grabbed the wrong bottle. I took a couple of hits, and just sat there all chilled out for about 10 minutes trying not to barf. I thought at first it was the Fruit Strip Gum flavor, then noticed the wrong bottle of nic, lololol.

The safest level to chain-vape.... zero, of course! That really doesn't solve your nicotine fix need though. So... you have to know your own needs and limits. Try this:

1) Get some plain PG and VG, or order a doubler of whatever flavor you are vaping.
2) Get 36 mg of PG/VG mix in whatever flavor.

now you can "cut" that flavor to whatever nic level you want, without losing flavor (if using a doubler). Try different levels, starting at the lowest. Mix in small 3 ml bottles.

Good Luck!

ok how many drops = 1ml we all need to know this. buy a small empty dropper bottle and a small 2.5 ml syringe measure out 1ml and drop it back into your main bottle count the drops and you have the answer. I started a 18 mg and it killed me red face and rushing my .... off. 10mg is good for me, if you chain vape use lesss as a longer session will give you more in the pipes. I would make my own juice and then you can adjust the levels and flavours to your needs. This is as I see it a major advantage of the e cig. The way the juice hits you is different with a e cig as you get a pure nic hit less the chemicals it kills the craving but the hit is not like a cigarette hit you get less body buzz with the e cig. Use analogues and the e cig you have in combination and when you get the e cig level right you can move off ciggys. Do not give up giving up the less ciggies you smoke the better even if you still smoke some less is more.
