Ladies and gentleman (I'm at work and bored to death
) from the makers of http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...nce-me-reoville-place-i-should-call-home.html, the young little REOnaut that busted his spring within 12 hours of his first REO, from "Convince me to get a REO" to "Hide my wallet so I don't end up broke", I bring you, the saga sequel: The REO Ascension!
*Pause* *Deep breath* *Couple of hits from the REO* *Stretch* *Stare at screen*
That's as good of an intro as it gets from me
. This is kind of a mixture of a formal review of the REO and my plans here in this little (not) sweet town of Reoville.
A brief review. 10/5 stars, the whole ultimate package. It's built to last longer than you'll probably live, it feels comfortable to hold and pocket friendly. With a REO, you get the ability to use EVERY SINGLE feeding system you want. Want to use carto tanks? No prob. Clearos? Go ahead. Genesis style RBAs? Be my guest. Dripping RDAs for home use and sampling many flavors? Knock yourself out. The wonderful bottom feeding RDAs such as the RM2? Welcome to heaven. You like modding your gadgets? Couldn't be more convenient than in this box full of wonders. More often than not (and this is probably because REO+RM2 gives you the ultimate vaping experience) people forget that with a REO you can use anything you want should you ever want to. If you are a flavor nut like myself you might have 10 tanks/dripping attys laying around to switch flavors around. The REO is the best all around PV I've ever had, and none of the other fancy ones surpass it. Some of you who unquestionable have held onto a lot more mods than I have could probably provide more reliable feedback.
The cons of the REO? As an unit, it's nearly perfect (and I say nearly because every person has its own definition of perfect, so the fact that REO pleases like 98% of the people who try it makes it nearly perfect) We've all seen the controversy of voltage drop. True, it does have a higher voltage drop than other mech mods, after all when it was made sub-ohm and RBAs were not that popular. Rob has expressed his willingness of creating a kit for sub-ohm people, where do you get that kind of service? Just one place, Reoville. This issue with voltage drop is very, VERY particular, as it only matters to a very small circle of people, those who do really low sub ohms. You vape at anything over 0.8 ohms and this is non sense talk to you
. On top of that, the REO with a micro coil on an RM2 hinders this issue, as the flavor and vapor you get, akin to dripping, are out of this world. SO let it be clear, that this is not an issue unless you are into super low sub ohms like .3-.5 ohms (which is the reason you almost never see anyone complaining about it). Also, if it is an issue to you, it has solutions as shown by many of the more knowledgeable members of Reoville, solutions that'll even make the REO voltage drop far better than whatever people call "high end mechs" or "high end tubesteaks". The REO itself, isn't a high end mech, it's a top mech.
My plans? Well, I done ditched my previous gear, only left two 600 mAh eGo batteries that I don't use but rather gave it to my parents. My dad is thick headed and, regardless of how efficient e-cigs are, if you don't have the mindset to quit, nothing will help you. I have a copper vein grand in sight, and either another REO grand or two Woodvils whenever they come out. My aim is having 5 REOs total funded by the leftover after selling my gaming laptop and getting a tablet instead. No VV, no modded VW, nothing regulated. I love mechanicals, wouldn't think of getting anything regulated unless they come up with a chip that has a limit of 40 watts
.
Also I've joined the crazy crew of modders. Today I finally got everything to use pdib's brass shim method, so I'll be having some fun tonight
. I've been running for 3 days with collapsed springs in my REOs, so I had to handle them as safely as I'd with that mod. After work I'll drop by Home Depot and get me some sand paper to sand down the area where the base of the spring sits. The owner of my favorite local B&M got himself a copper vein grand, and even thought about selling REOs at the store in very low quantities (1-2 at a time since the store is fairly new and Miami is so far behind in terms of mods it's ridiculous). Nothing better than going there, both pull out our REOs and within a minute the whole store is fogged up! Let's see how long until I reach my goal
. To any new REOnaut or thinking about getting one, don't think. That's the first mistake you'll make, just follow your instincts and the countless voices whispering to you to click "Pay Now" on Paypal.
PS: Rob, make me a t-shirt with your logo on it so I can sport it around the vape shops
