Same carto Why Taste difference with tank

This puzzles me as to why I get 2 different tastes with the same carto but ones uses a glass tank?

Coups tge carto be slightly dry when changing tanks? Are they from the same lot?

If I take a carto and use it, and then take a glass tank set up, it seems to me to taste different.

It's because the tank keeps the carto wet all the time. Without the tank your carto will dry out some and you start to taste the filler. I really don't like cartos outside of tanks, but love them in a tank.
