I got a sample of Candy Apple and fell instantly in love. I ended up ordering a 60ML bottle of Candy Apple. The thing is, the bottle isn't as flavorful as the sample. Don't get me wrong, it is still good. Just not as good.
This probably has to do with the age of the samples. I think that this is because they are kind of steeped. Usually, my guesses are a bit off so, this is probably not the reason. But, I could be right. I just don't know enough about this stuff yet.
I wonder if David makes up a large batch to create the samples. He could then fill a bunch of sample bottles. He probably has the batch getting lots of air while he is filling the sample bottles. After, the samples could be stored and could sit for weeks before they are shipped out. In a way, this would be almost like steeping them.
So, I am guessing that I am going to need to steep the Candy Apple in order for it to taste as good as the sample. I am going to steep it anyway but, this would give me a little more motivation to not sneak some of the steeping juice.
Am I way off again? Am I at least on the right track?
