OK guys bash me if u want but, ere goes.
I have purchased a lot of (what I thought was) authentic samsung 25r batteries. After posting a pic someone pointed out they were fakes/clones. My big question is.... if they are fakes/clones, how can you be sure and MOST IMPORTANTLY WHAT ARE THE TRUE SPECS ON THESE? someone said they were just as bad as a trustfire 5A battery. If that were so then they would've already vented on me. I've been using them in my sigelei 150W with builds around .3-.15 Can anyone enlighten me on this subject?

Samsung 1865025R are a high drain, safe chemistry, 2500 mAh, 20 amp continuous, light blue IMR/hybrid battery. The ones I have are flat tops. These are among the best batteries for vaping at the present time, along with the LG 18650HE2 2500 mAh 20 amp continuous. Unlike most of the batteries on todays market, Samsung actually makes these batteries themselves. If you purchase these from reputable vendors like RTD Vapor, Illumination Supply, Lighthound, or Orbtronics you can be assured that the batteries are authentic.

I wouldn't fire any coils under 0.4 ohm with these Samsung 25R, as I pay no attention to "pulse" amp ratings, only heeding "continuous" discharge ratings. This allows for some safe headroom should a post screw become loose and change the resistance of the coil. In addition, I believe we put a lot of faith into these cheap Chinese made ohm readers to make accurate measurements.

I'm not really a new vaper I've been vaping over 2yrs now and know about just about all of it and I do hvac work so I've been familiar with ohms law for over 10yrs. My real question is what are the specs on the clone batteries? Does anyone know if the specs are different? Literature would be greatly appreciated!

I've not read of Samsungs being cloned, just AW and Sony batteries. Purple Efest batteries are re-wrapped Sony, LG, or Panasonic batteries. Purple Efest Batteries

There is no way of knowing the specs of a cloned or fake battery. An unscrupulous/ignorant vendor selling a "fake" battery is not going to admit that it is a fake, if he actually knows that it is a fake to begin with. It's basically an unknown battery by an unknown manufacturer with unknown specs. This is why the vets here preach to purchase batteries from reputable vendors like I gave you above, who can verify their sources.

Post a pic of the battery with n without a wrapper

What's written on the actual cans?

And that's not true about automatically venting.
I'm many tests on youtube forced shorting either melted the wire or just killed the battery outright, in many cases they have to seriously abuse them to get any effect at all.

Samsung wouldn't be the no 1 battery used in power tools if they vented that easily and I have destroyed my share of battery packs with no effect except dead cells
