Samsung 25r FAKES! What's really beneath the wrapper?

I compared the pics to my Samsungs. Mine have the larger white ring on the positive end like that one on the left. That's all I'll say about this other than what I've already said about buying batteries online. batteries are the one thing NOT to skimp on.

Wasn't really trying to skimp out rather than buy in bulk and get better price. It is my fault for not doing my research first. I kinda shot first now I'm asking questions lol. But if anyone comes across anymore info on this subject I'd love to hear it. It seems now that there are comments claiming both as authentic lol. Maybe they both are legit just different batches?

I was more referring to the shape of the positive pin, yeah you cant see for sure how many there are. Like everyone has said just make sure its one of the mentioned reputable vendors. Like i said i just purchased 6 sets from rtd and the prices sre very reasonable no reason to save a buck or 2 and not know for sure.

Ditto for mine.

Mine as well.

So do mine. I can't tell from the middle picture but it looks like the battery on the right may have 4. I don't have a magnifying glass to check it.

Mine look the same as Bad, Susan, and Snorks, larger white ring, smaller contact, 3 vent.

Nearly positive they're legit, and highly doubt ALL of us have managed to get fakes, so something must have changed somewhere, if the larger contact ones are, in fact, legit (from RTD so i assume they are).

All of mine look like the one on the left, and I have rewrapped some of them.

First I've seen of fake Samsungs.

Always remember, pictures can be deceiving

The "white ring"........its how much of the wrapper is covering , if that made sense.

Thanks to ECF, vaping and now all new flashlights - I have lots of batteries :D

Looking at the 3 sets of Samsung that I have - the one set( inr18650-20r) has 1bat with twice the size "white ring" as the other bat. The other sets of Samsung are pretty much equal.

Also, manufactures change things over time - look how often AW changed the wrapper just since I started.

I purchased a couple of Samsung 25R recently that I thought were fake. They had a white label on them and did not say Samsung on them. Pulled the white label off and found Samsung writing on them. Too much fake stuff floating around out there.

I got a pair of LGs like that and Instantly contacted the vendor who informed thats how they got them and the usual print was underneath. I was mad as hell because i thought i got bunk batts from a vendor praised on here for only selling authentics.
