I woke up today to the carpet being wet next to the wall by my bedroom window at my apartment. It didn't come from the ceiling it came from the ground outside I'm guessing it got so saturated that it seeped up. I had my backpack on the floor and the bottom got wet. Thank god that I didn't have any mods or batts in there. I'm washing my backpack now.

This is old hat to me being from the Miami area. I remember walking to the store with water halfway between my knee and foot going to get beer lol. Just want to make sure my fellow San Antonio Vapers are doing good. Make sure you watch the news and check the road closures. We still plan on going shopping today I want to relax the rest of the holiday weekend.

I live by West Ave and Blanco. I know 281 near the quary is all messed up.

And didn't you recently have a health scare?
Hope all is well with that, too.
I wanna say for you 'when it rains, it pours' but that may not be appropriate at this moment, huh? lol
Be careful out thar!

LOL,

Yeah that medical deal I'm doing better. The medicine they gave me is helping a lot. It's been great.

Thanks, hope it wasn't too bad at yer parents. I'd be worried if this happened if I was paying on a house.

Use to live in SA. Remember when we had a really bad flood so much rain that the Weather service had to come up with a new color to show the rain. Got like 30" in a week. Luck for me I was near Medical City which is high ground. Had a coworker who saw a barn float by her house. I caught hell because a few days before some friends and I were driving buy the flood plain near The Quary, I said " you know I've never seen any water down there". Like 2 days after we got dumped on. I was called a jinx from then on. Was forbidden to say stuff like that or "you know the network hasn't been down in a long time". I was in IT at a big company there.

All fine here - but what a crazy downpour! We stayed dry as our house is on a bit of a hill but our nieghbors weren't so lucky and had some minor flooding. Of course we stayed home and off the roads. Our backyard looks like a small lake and the pool overflowed. We are truly sorry about the 2 people that lost thier lives in the flood. Flash floods in SA are no joke - situations can quickly become very dangerous.

I'm glad everyone is ok. :)

The first time I took my wife back home it flooded.

Tulsa in my Parents apartment. 2:00 am the flood warning goes off. (real close to the apartment complex) So I get up, we are on the second floor so I figure we are ok but I check with my parents anyway. Yup, we are good. So I head back to the room we were staying in, expecting to have to explain to my NY state wife about what is going on. Over the sound of the siren, which is starting to wind down, I hear "ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzz, ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzz"

She slept right through everything. She refused to believe me the next morning until we went outside to a very sodden area that smelled like fish. LOL!

Glad you are doing well. My wife and I went to eat at El Bucanero on Blanco and shopping at the 1604 and Blanco heb and no flooding there thankfully.

I live near 410 and Broadway. No worries here. But, I got detoured all over the place going to work! Problem is my internet was out because of the rain. So, I hadn't even been able to check traffic conditions!

I got to see up close how Olmos basin had turned into a lake. People were out of their cars taking pictures while I was just trying to find a clear path to work! If I had only known. I should have just taken 410 to 10 and headed into town that way.

Why, oh, why didn't I think to check the traffic on my phone instead!!!

El Bucanero rules - Glad it's ok! I bet the sunken area behind it was a lake, tho. There is actually a wooden dock type thing back there - usually sitting on dry ground - bet it was floating yesterday, tho
