I've been vaping for a week and I like it. Haven't had a real smokey treat since I started and no real issues with cravings. I started with an eGo CC on a 650 battery. That hasn't worked out so great. Ordered a mini protank 2, got it last night. It's way better but maybe a little inconsistent? (one week in and I know less than nothing... :))

I have spent way to much time tracking packages. ;)

Here's what I'm thinking:

Provari mini, I like the black with the blue LEDs. I think I'll get the kit so I get it all at one time and can give the Protank a fair try.
IBTanked 19mm standard tank with some 3 ohm pre-punched cartos.
I already have spare coils for the Protank, both the 2.3 and the 1.8's.

I'm hoping to use this as my *only* setup (I can feel your scepticism already...) , both in the house and out `n about. I'm wondering if the IBTanked tank will leak if I toss it in my backpack or shove into my back pocket.

All in all I just want something that is: 1 - nice, 2 - Works well and consistently once setup properly and isn't going to let me down while I'm waiting for the bus or stuck in traffic.

I'm as much of a gadget freak as anyone, my girlfriend has created a gadget graveyard for all the stuff I bought and don;t touch anymore. That said, from what I can tell a RBA is not something I'm going to like.

Thanks for any advice you may offer.

I really like the protank (i have the mini) the vape is colder and i can taste the flavour better then with the regular tanks. I am afraid that by the end of this year, i will own several batteries. So i made an agreement with myself: Stay with the twist 650 till you found the holy grail and really know what you want/need. For now i will stick with the 1.8's. When those are all used i will try the >2.0 to experiment. I hope that by the end of the year i found the ideal combo for in house and travel/work.

I think these are some really good choices.
You won't regret buying a provari... fantastic device.
I see no problems using this as your only mod. Just be sure to have enough batteries for it.
I have the mini... my only provari (and fav mod). When i go out i bring a battery case with
2 spare 18350s (overkill...). At home i use it with tatroe base and an extra ring in 18650
mode. Provari Tatroe End Cap
You can also just use 2 rings and the stock end-cap. I've got the kir fanis twins extension,
but wouldnt recommend it, since it is less well made than the tatroe ones.

Carto-tanks... not my cup of tea, but they vape really well and consistently so. And IBtanked seems to be championed
by many of the hardcore carto-fans.

RBAs... take your time. If you get the itch to try it, you could start with recoiling a used protank-head.

I have a similar setup as you described. Both a standard and mini Provari.

I use IBTanked (both 19 & 22mm), and Kanger Protank & iClear 30 clearomizers. None of the three leak, and I carry my Provari's in a front jeans pocket. Carry a spare battery in a plastic battery case just in case you need one. I have Provape's battery extension cap, and also Tatroe Mod's entender rings and wide bases.

First off, welcome to ECF and congrats!

I have spent way to much time tracking packages. ;)

That's a large portion of the fun... waiting on vapemail. Can be dangerous too, especially for the mailman. LOL

I have the full size, black with green LEDs. Absolutely love it! I've been using PT2s and PT minis with no problems.Due to many rave reviews and advice of cetain members here, especially Baditude and his blog (thanks Bad!), I went and ordered a custom IBTanked. I'm looking forward to it's arrival!

I'm hoping to use this as my *only* setup (I can feel your scepticism already...)

NONE here... As a matter of fact, I'm a truck driver who's away from home 2-3 nights at a time and I only bring my Provari, charger, extra batteries, a few extra attys, 5 tanks, and a few bottles of liquid. I know, I know, anything can malfunction and/or break, so I'm taking a small chance. It's worked flawlessly, so far.

...from what I can tell a RBA is not something I'm going to like.

For the time being, I feel the same way.

That said, from what I can tell a RBA is not something I'm going to like.

I used to say that. I also said I couldn't be bothered with rebuilding my Protank heads.

Then I took a hard look at the amount of time I was taking to clean and dry burn the heads. DOH! Might as well rebuild them!

Since I'm rebuilding the Protank heads, might as well look at getting an RBA. I now have a hybrid that uses an RSST on it. I'm now looking at possibly snagging a Russian or Kayfun.

You might as well face it. You're doomed. Tell the GF to get a bigger graveyard box.

You won't be disappointed with an IBtanked tank. I have 2 and love them. I am working a con this weekend and last night had to have my SVD with my tank in my back pocket. No problems what so ever. Just make sure that the tank is flush with your PV and that you get airflow. I know that with my SVD and the beauty ring the draw on the carto is more restricted than without it. I have heard that some delivery devices need something else to get airflow correctly with a provari, but I can not say 100% because I do not own one.

Good choice with the Provari or an MVP 2.... or both!! Remember... always have back ups for your back ups!!!
