Satin silver blems - I solved the mystery

Now I want to play wiith all my buttons!

I got my mini satin silver blem today (it will be departing tomorrow for a custom paint job) and I noticed that the standard end cap looked pretty bad! Scratched inside and out. It doesn't matter, as I'll never use it. The extension cap doesn't have that "buttery" feel -- but I'll be fixing that shortly. All in all, a great deal was scored!

I put a touch of Noalox on my extension cap and it's as smooth as silk now. I've seen varying reports that it may cause pitting issues over time, but Provape has assured me this is not the case so I went with it. Works great.

Yeah, I couldn't even get my extension cap on properly until I cleaned the threads and used some Noalox.

Then it was fine.

I cleaned the threads before assembling my SS Blem (had the primary cap on it but ordered an extension). Found quite a bit of filings in the threads.
