L-rider Corolla SCOPE Mech Telecoping mod w/ Adjustable Air Flow
$54.95

Stunningly gorgeous 100% mechanical mod, well built with smooth thread action and perfect heft in the hand. Made with pride by leading PV manufacturer, L-rider.

You can use 18350, 18500 and 18650 batteries with this mod. The mini manual that comes with it insists you must use a protected battery but they say that mainly as this would have no short circuit protection as it has no PCB board (as with all mechanical mods). For complete safety you can install a Vapesafe (available at GotVapes) if you use standard IMR batteries.

FEATURES:
  • Highly polished chrome over copper. The finish on these is outstanding as you can see in the pictures and includes the same finish on the locking fire button.
  • Generously sized top firing button with adjustable throw all the way until you can actually lock it while in your pocket or purse. Must emphasize that all the thread action on these units, after testing several, were found to be very smooth and pleasant, high quality.
  • Can accommodate 18350, 18500 and 18650 batteries.
  • Telescoping- it does not require extra end caps to install various sized batteries.
  • FIVE AIR HOLES AT TOP for ADJUSTABLE AIR FLOW: Provides a top knurled ring that can adjust up and down providing total control over air flow! Cover the five consecutive air holes from 0-100%.
  • Vented base
  • Logo packaging with color manual card.

This mod is beautiful and I'm going to purchase it, but since it's my first mechanical mod coming rom Vision Spinner 1300's, I have a few questions I'm hoping someone can help me with.

Couldn't find a phone number on your site for the life of me! :)

I'm going to use the Kick, but I see from another poster that I would only be able to use 18500 batteries then, correct? What about the Vape Safe fuse? If I'm using standard IMR batteries, I should be using this as well? Will the Kick and the Vape Safe both fit in the Corolla with the 18500 battery?

Okay, now for the Mech Mod real beginners questions:

Will I need to charge the batteries when I first get them?

Will the battery charger charge different battery sizes?

Will it harm the batteries to charge them every day at the end of the day?

Thanks for all your help, suggestions, tips and hints. I've got your site open and am waiting to order!

If you get a Kick... there is no need for the Vape Safe... the Kick has built in protection also.

Rechargeable Lithium batteries come charged to 3.7v which is referred to as the "storage charge" used to maintain the battery only while in the shelves of the manufacturer and distributors... It is recommended to charge them all the way up ( 4.2v ) before first using them and don't discharge them more than 3.2-3.3v

There are a variety of battery chargers that are compatible with rechargeable lithiums but each one is different... so read the description before you buy... make certain it supports the size battery ( s ) you want and make certain it is made for the type of battery ( lithium, lipo, nicd, nihm etc ) that you plan to charge with it.

Recommended practice with rechargeable lithiums is to charge them all of the way up ( 4.2v ) and discharge them all of the way down ( 3.2-3.3v ) for the best longevity... It doesn't hurt them to charge them daily, it just will shorten the lifespan. Do not discharge below the 3.2-3.3v or that may damage them....

Never charge them unattended in a location that is prone to catching fire. I charge mine on a ceramic tile for instance just in case of a failure. This applies to all rechargeable batteries btw...

This is a lot of good information, thank you *so* much! May I ask you another question?

What do you mean by "don't discharge them more than 3.2-3.3v"? Does this mean not to use them till they are almost with no charge left?

Thank you again!

On this type of battery... 3.2-3.3v is what is considered as almost "no charge"... these aren't like alkaline, lead acid and other batteries like that.
