Saying Hello and asking about the SD keyring?

Hi, I've been lurking as a guest for a while now, not a total Newb but not very advanced, started 3 years ago with a DSE103 as a way to beat the smoking ban and used it here and there, then 4 months ago bought an Ego T and enjoyed it and literally just stopped buying baccy there and then, toyed with some clearomisers but quickly decided I was a "tank" girl so upgraded to an Ego C which has in all honesty been the biggest let down in my life, not least because the UK distributors don't really want to admit there is a consistency problem with the atomisers; so I've recently been DDing a 901 atty on a 510 batt (with adaptor) and a ming tip and drip shield.

Anyway I'm looking to travel across continents in the near future and had been planning on taking my ego batteries and attys and was panicing about taking the batts through customs control as some places are a bit funny about batteries even in hand luggage when I came across the SD key ring and it occurred to me how many times I've thrown my keys in the plastic buckets at the security gate and nobody has taken a 2nd look so I thought they might be ideal, but I'm NEVER in a million years going to want to use the cartomisers than come with it, so I'm wondering if others have used it with either a 510 to 901 adaptor or even a 510 to ego adaptor successfully, because if so I'm buying 3 and am going to make each person in my travelling party carrying one on their keys, by the law of averages, at least one should get through?

Hi Tara, welcome to ECF. I tell you I believe the SD key ring sports a 510 connection, but don't quote me on it. As for customs, I travel often including internationally and never had a problem with customs, I throw my ego t in the basket and no one ever said anything to me, I even throw my liquid in there.

Thanks Winfab, lots of people keep saying there is no problems, but all the carrier websites make dire warning about batteries, my husband bless has been trying to find an airline who will let me vape openly but with no joy; I've told him not to sweat it, but I don't want to rule out a little bit of stealth vaping if possible my first flight on this trip is 12 hrs!

Ive noticed from youtube the SDKey is an auto batt so dding might not be good for longevity, but for the price I'm still wondering if it is worth picking a couple up?

For 20 bucks I'd certainly pick up a few. Its funny you mention vaping in the plane, I feel unconfortable doing it so I vape in the bathroom, lol - I miss the days we had a smoking section in the plane.

Lol the last time I did the journey I am about to do I went Air France as they were one of the few carriers that still allowed smoking, even so we had to hang around in a curtained off area by the toilet
