An update.

My AIO is taking *ages* to ship, and after three disposables I got tired of wasting money, so I went to my local vape store, and got the cheapest refillable they offer. It was an iCare (I only did research about it after buying it). Overall I'm quite happy with the device, very small and elegant, and vaping on it is much more satisfactory than on the disposables.

Since I said I'm using vaping to replace heavy smoking (when drinking), they sold me a Solace Jefe e-liquid (Nicotine Salt) with 30MG/L. I'd say it tastes very good. Very nice sweet melow nutty flavor. The nicotine hit seems about right. (But I don't plan to use this with my upcoming AIO! The bottle advises against using it in sub-ohm devices).

The iCare gurgles and spits bit, specially on the first puff after it has been resting for a bit, but it's not too bad. I think the lady overfilled it (way above the white fill line), doh! I hope the problem goes away when my liquid level is below the line.

Overall I'm very happy with vaping. Yesterday I slipped and smoked two analogs at a poker match, because all my disposables ran out. But now that I have my iCare I'm 100% motivated and focused on leaving the nasty inhaling of combusted of tobacco behind.

Another update:

I ended up getting two AIOs due to my shipping delay. Overall I'm quite happy with the devices. I wouldn't mind denser clouds, but the form factor is very good. I very much prefer round devices that are aesthetically pleasing over boxes which don't look that great. I've considered getting a Smok V8, because apparently it gives better performance, but it's less good looking than the AIOs.

Today I very sillingly dropped one if my AIOs and the glass cracked. I'll be getting an AIO D22 as a replacement, I think I'll like that form factor more.

Regarding coils, the 0.6ohm with 12mg liquid is about right for me. Somebody said that the 1.5ohm Clapton would be ...., and you were completely right: it make the juice tasteless.

I'm getting more 0.6ohm coils, and some 0.5ohm ones too to give them a try (battery life is not that important because I have two devices).

At the beginning, I was burning my coils like crazy, they only lasted 2 days. I was silly and was chain-vaping without giving it the time to get wet again. Now I'm trying to vape more slowly, and I also take unpowered puffs to rewick the coild between vapes. Another tip that helped is not screwing the top very hard, so the coild has more liquid flow.

Since I'm getting an AIO D22, could soembody help me and take a look at the Joyetech US store e-liquid section and recomment some 12mg e-liquid that's tobacco or caramel?

Up to now I've only tried Vaping.com Tobacco (which I really dislike because it tastes like hazelnut liquor), and Jefe (which I really like, it tastes more like vanilla/caramel than tobacco, but it's great).

I also have some peppermint juice that I have not tried yet.

It's two weeks without an analog and I feel great. My lungs hurted a bit after a night of heavy smoking. Vaping causes me no side effects at all.

Hi!

I wanted to introduce myself. I live in Santa Monica, and I'm in the process of replacing cigarettes by vaping.

I use snuss during the day, and smoke a couple of cigarettes at night. But when I drink, I smoke a lot more. I had some holidays, and I binged and got sick of it. So, since last Wednesday I've been vaping instead.

I wanted to thank you guys for all the information on the forum. The vaping world can be overwhelming, but after reading the forum for a few days I'm starting to get the hang of it.

While waiting for an EGO Aio I ordered (vaping.com is being a bit slow shipping it!), I've been using disposables: I've tried Blu, aer, and Square XL.

I thought the Blu (tobacco flavor) was a good introduction to vaping. The taste was pleasant, and the build quality and form factor of the device was cool. It lasted until Friday night.

aer was a complete ripoff, it only lasted half an hour. Stay away from this brand.

Square XL (regular flavor) is nice. Better taste than Blu, and supposedly will last longer. It's a manual rather than an auto, and it has an EGO form factor.

I'm really looking forward getting the EGO Aio and start trying different eliquids. I like how it looks, and how simple it is, that's what made me decide for it as a newbie device.

I have a couple of questions:
- There are many online sellers, which are the most trust-worthy and fast ones?
- Any newbie recommendations for eliquids?

- I feel that I will prefer the drag and feel of the Clapton 1.5 ohm coils, and I've read that those are compatible with the EGO Aio, where can I order then online? I've Googled around without much success.
- I should prime the EGO Aio included coil before using it, right? Does the process consist in putting some eliquid on it, and pressing the button for some seconds without dragging?

That's all for now, thanks!
Heather's Heavenly Vapes is where I buy all my juice from. They have a few mods for sale too, but are mainly into making their own juice. Aside from their fruit/beverage/desert line of juices, they have some extraordinary NET's or Naturally Extracted Tobacco flavors. My favorites being Gaia and Huntsman. Huntsman is a maple flavored NET that is not so sweet.

@Chakris I ordered the two flavours you recommended, and two additional NETs. Really looking forward getting them!

The BF 0.6 coils last much longer with the technique I explained above (almost two weeks). Today I got some 0.5 ohm coils but I had trouble priming them. It seems like my liquid won't go through the mesh on top. Any tips? Change liquid? I'm currently using DNAVapor Jefe. Not sure about concentration but I think it's 60/40.

The ones I ordered are 50/50.

I feel like a bit of a broken record or a shill, but Mister E Liquid has given me the highest consistent quality for tobacco flavors. And they have a decent variety. They aren't a cheap e-liquid but they don't have ridiculous prices either. Here is there two page tobacco line:

Tobacco E-Liquid Flavors | Mister-E-Liquid

They give pretty good explanations of the flavors with one exception. The flavor Grey Matter is like a cross between a clove cigarette and the spices you'd use in a pumpkin pie. With some oddball spices thrown in. All of the other flavors are fairly conventional and familiar. I think Roughneck gives the best cig flavor, and I think Honey Flue Cured gives the best pipe flavor. Mix them and you have a cigar. You get a lot of options for VG/PG and nic level from MEL. They do have some good fruity stuff but it tends to be very sweet or very tart unless you go for the 'pie' or 'cake' versions. I do like them though, they tend to have complicated flavor profiles. Great for multiple uses depending on how you order it. Higher Wattage means more VG and less nic.

But for fruity or creamy flavors Id recommend the Dollar Juice Club and The Sauce LA. The Dollar Juice Club only lets you pick 0,3,6 nic and they will send you little 10 ml trial bottles for a buck plus shipping. The Sauce LA always has odd ball deals going and I think they only do 80VG/20PG but you can pick nic from 6 on down. Lots of flavors between those two companies and it's cheap but serviceable liquid. Good for high Wattage or TC.

I just made a an order from Mystic juice and I ordered it 70/30 rather than 80/20. Blah. It will work better in my higher Wattage tank than in my TC tank that I wanted to use. Still, lots of flavors, let them steep and they're good, you can pay extra for pre-steeped and extra flavor if you want. The prices are pretty good and the selection is pretty decent. I'd give them a look.

Your device (if I am reading it correctly) does not allow you to adjust its power level (V/W), instead the power level changes as the battery depletes. So you should grab an Ohm's Law app for your phone to understand what your mod is doing. If you are at 4.2 Volts on a full charge and you are using a 0.50 Ohm resistance atomizers then your mod is pushing out 35.28 Watts. On the other hand if your battery is down to 3.2 Volts on that same atomizer you are only pushing 20.48 Watts and you'll feel that loss in power. That's the price of having a simple mod and that's why you carry two. My set ups like this are bit different and I use different coils. I use 1.0 Ohm coils and they go about 11 to 17 Watts so it's easier for me to find a juice that works. I also have replaceable batteries.

I buy 99.5% anhydrous 100% USPG VG from my local drug store and then go a little high on PG in my juices. I have two large bottles of one of MELs tobacco flavors that are 100% PG @ 24 nic. I can mix that 50/50 with the VG and now I've got 50/50 @12 nic, great for MTL. I can mix that one more time 50/50 and I have 75VG/25PG @ 6 nic, great for blowing clouds. But you'll figure all of that once you start playing with it.

There should be slots on the side of the atomizer for juice flow. You can drip into those slots, a few drops every few minutes to help saturate the cotton. And then fill up, close any airholes, take unpowered puffs until the cotton stops releasing air bubbles. Then gradually increase the power to find your sweet spot.

Update: I also tried Dark Horse and Huntsman. I love Dark Horse. Huntsman is my less favorite of the three, it doesn't taste much to me.
On your next order, try dragons fire, it's the best juice I have ever tried in all the years of vaping.....
