Hi Everyone. This wonderful forum was where i first came to learn about e-cigs and help me decide where to start- I never posted but still all my questions were answered! Its now been nearly three years and ive been completely smoke free (and vapor obsessed) since i put that very 1st cart to my lips. So, thank you to all u knowledgeable ecf folks out there. And with all the experience I've amassed in the last few years I/m hoping to pay it forward a bit too )

Michelle, I'm eager to learn from your experiences over the last three years. Big congratulations on being smoke-free (and vapor-obsessed) for three years! Wowee! How did you ever manage to stay quiet for so long? It feels a bit odd to say "Welcome" to someone to probably knows far more about this forum than I could possibly know after only a few months, but I'll say it anyway -- so welcome! Cheers to three years!:toast:

haha "story": smoked a pack a day for 10 years, with pretty severe asthma too, tried everything to quit for about 1/2 of those until i finally heard about ecigs. I started w blu's- a pretty common 1st ecig way back when :O) I had a "last" cigarette the day they came in the mail and it really was. I dont recommend it for everyone but i was really committed to quitting and switching asap esp since i could barely breathe the way i was living. I switched to something more powerful pretty quickly tho, a joye stick- which I actually still use to this day from time to time. When the tanks came out they totally blew my mind- love them! started w some 510s then an ego (now i use a vv ego batt)Im not a big cartomizer/clearomizer etc fan, but i do wanna try out a map tank when i can. Im still on the hunt for the perfect vanilla liquid tho! Tried all sorts of great (and god-awful) liquids along the way- even mixed quite a few of my own. Now Im getting ready to order my first true mod- still trying to decide which one. Probably a box mod and most likely a variable voltage. I want something small and cute like my joye stick was so im leaning towards the little sister from ken's box mods- it even uses the same batteries!
But anyhoo thats basically where im at today, ive tried lots of different vendors and honestly have never once had a bad experience. This whole vaping world is pretty crazy- its always changing & there's always something new and interesting to try!
Oh And i breathe waaaay better and easier today too )
Happy Vaping

Thanks for all the warm welcomes. LOL "honorary veteran status!!!" luv it!
On the medical note, my PFTs (Pulmonary Function Tests) are greatly improved. Basically that means my lung capacity has increased (what feels like tenfold) and my lung tissue has also healed itself. I used to be hospitalized for my asthma like once a year in the past, but not once since i began vaping. So now id say i basically have controlled asthma like i had 13 years ago before i started smoking- that obviously made my disease worse. Now i can go up stairs easily and even get through an entire dance class! I'm able to sleep thru the night & I never wake up coughing or with chest pains anymore. You know that achy chest feeling- i always thought it was an asthmatic thing but nope it was from too much smoking. I tried everything to quit for sooo long, i would even stop for weeks at a time but of course always went back. And then BAM- from day ONE with an e-cig, I NEVER smoked again. I just love telling that story, people are floored. And it wasn't even that hard for me. I had the desire- and all the cravings pretty much went away after the 1st 2 weeks )

All of the medical practitioners i see all know about the vaping and thus far the only physical changes noted have been for the better. The only adverse reaction ive ever had with e-cigs was some headaches/shakiness as i tried to figure out which nic level was good for me. turns out I need only a tiny amount, 6mg and under only. Otherwise is all been good. Oh I did experience a lot of very wet coughing and coughing up mucus the first few weeks after quitting but ive read thats normal. Its like your lungs getting rid of the accumulated poisons.

Anyway next time I'm at my Pulmonologist's office I'm really gonna talk to him about how great they are/I feel. He's just glad i quit the analogs but i feel like he's still on the fence about vaping. More doctor's in support of Vaping cant be bad right?!

What is the little sister exactly
hey DMM- The Little Sister is a box mod that looks like a bic lighter. And is the size of one too! It has a 510 connection and is available with a variable voltage dial! Its a really cute piece. Some people dont like it b/c the batteries dont last as long as some other ones used in mods. You can check it out here:
