Hello ECF! I have been vaping for 2 months now and been stalking the site for almost that long. I finally got the nerve to say something. I have learned so much from this site and would like to thank all the brilliant minds on here that I have learned so much from. I have caught the vaping bug bad. I love the community, and have felt right at home. I have got my wife vaping and she loves it also. She signed up for the forums too. We both have been analog free since the day we started. I have already started modding because of all the great info I have found on here. Well thank you and I hope to talk to all of you sooner or later. Thanks Jeremy

Salutations, and welcome Jeremy! As a fellow (previous) stalker, I can totally relate...and this IS one of the most considerate and helpful places I've found yet on the WWW. It is also my first ever forum that I've joined, and was so emboldened by my warm reception here that I found a couple of other forums I was interested in and joined them. NOT a happy experience! No help, too many pat answers or guidance to read the FAQ's, and intimations that my intelligence was very limited and they had no time to educate me on THEIR forums (my words, not theirs). :glare: I completely felt like a usurper! I have since happily/eagerly/dancing on the table with a lampshade on my head, respectfully resigned from both of them, and now THIS is my only home on the web. May you always feel welcome here with like minded, extremely wonderful and totally decent human beings...really renews and justifies my faith in our species!

Wow Jerm - you been real busy there mate. What you gonna do next week ? Rewire Ohio....LOL

Thats brilliant. It really has grabbed you huh ? I'd love to do my own mod. But anything less than half a brick is way too fiddly for me. I haven't got big fingers or anything i'm just not good at fiddly things. Well done you though.

Yeah I have definitely caught the bug bad. I'm just very lucky that the misses has it pretty bad also, because other wise she probably would have skinned me alive by now. I really love the modding part of this adventure and am always thinking about modding already. I cant really take much credit for the mods i have done because all of the knowledge came from the great minds on here. I just have a lot of time on my hands! LOL

From what I've seen, attacks are unwelcome and strongly discouraged here...and extremely well moderated as well, very comforting compared to some of the other places I've experienced. I'm a Facebook holdout (possibly one of the last remaining from what I can tell ). But you're never too old to learn something new, as this very forum is a stout testament to. May your plumes of vapor be large and tasty.

I'm glad i resisted the facebook phenomenon. I get sucked in to things way to easy sometimes. And i just know i would've wasted an awful lot of my life on it.
My stars, it can't be true! I am NOT the only holdout!! Yippee!! Thanks for that little note of support, Del Boy!! I no longer feel like the only one in the wrong queue...so nice to find others of my ilk!

Yeahh - it's only me and you not on it Wolfie....lol.

I find it difficult to understand the "attack" thing. Why would anyone attack another on a forum ? I can understand heated exchanges maybe where there is a strong difference of opinion. But Attacks ??? Whats going on in the kitchen ?

I had a hard time understanding that as well, Del Boy. I know my experience was that I had the audacity to ask a question about one of the discussions, and the acronyms that didn't make any sense to me. The reaction was almost hostile...all I can think of is that they must have had a terrible time with trolls at one point or another. It was like they were suspicious of anyone new, no matter how innocent they were. It just makes me very sad that they feel that's necessary, and it made me realize the wonder of the ECF, and is what I treasure here. We, however, can rise above all that paranoia, and kindly wish them good journeys and adieu. An ounce of kindness by far outweighs a pound of nastiness. :2cool:

Yeah - too right.

Kindness is like a spiral. Only a spiral upwards. A little kindness gets you so much satisfaction. And can go such a long way.

I am constantly humbled by peoples appreciation of kindness. It is so easily given (in words) and yet so warmly welcomed. As to make feel you special. Thus the spiral upward. Every person you show kindness to probably goes on and be's kind to someone else.
I was doing so well there until i said "be's"

Don't worry about the be's unless you're allergic! :) And my personal favorite thing to do when I am faced with someone that is not very nice is to smile as I speak to them and look them in the eye. Ask how their day is, and be genuinely interested in their reply...and see the transformation. I love leaving smiles in my wake...it's almost a personal goal of mine. Just a little self gratification, that costs no one anything, except a smile.

I do like it here in the "new members forum". It's like i "meet" someone new everytime i come here.

And although i only have a titchy witchy bit of knowledge regarding vaping i quite often know more about it than the brand new shiny newbies and am therefore able to be a help to them.

I don't really have a way of dealing not nice people. I'm always caught off my guard by them. Thankfully there aren't that many of them. They just stick out more.
