I dont know who this "bro" is but every time i hear about this "bro" i want to slap someone.
I dated a guy for along time, not long ago who called everyone "bro" I thought it was a jail thing, because he spent alot of time "hanging" around there before hanging around with me. Now i finally stopped hanging around with him and suddenly there are "bros" every where! "bro" seems to be following me and one day i may snap at him,lol

Hm-m-m-m-m.......Does my body "require" adult beverages.....potato chips.....snickers.....popcorn.......soda......danish with coffee? Why do we ingest them?

At what age is it okay to introduce a person to "unnecessary" edibles/fluids? How should one eat/drink in public?

Was Bloomberg right to try to limit size of soda in NY? Did he set an age limit or was it for anyone of any age buying? Why didn't he try to limit size of candy bars?

Can a person who does NOT have a health problem eat candy?

Must one inhale into the lungs or is it okay just to let the vapor go no farther than the mouth and/or through nose?

If nicotine is so addictive, why is it sold "over the counter" in flavors in gum and lozenge form approved by FDA?

Some of the questions I've tried to sort out over the past 2 1/2 yrs. since I started vaping. :)

Nah if it was a jail thing he would've been calling everyone "boss". Don't ask how I know.

Hello! So I was surfing the web and I cam across a thread here from 2012. It was someone, a non smoker, asking about vaping. They were saying they wanted to get into vaping 0nic for the flavors and clouds. There was a steady stream of people after that telling them that they should not vape and they were going to mess it up for everyone else and the like. Can someone please help me understand what this is about? Why would one person have more of a right to vape than another? And how would they mess it up? I even saw two people say that people who vape 0 have no business vaping. I vape 0 some times... And that is the point for a lot of people, right? TO get down to 0? I am at as loss here. If it seemed to be the thoughts of a few people I would have said "meah." But it seems to be the majority thought.

1: That was way back in 2012.
Things were different.

2: You missed the point. It was not about zero nicotine.
It was about non-smokers starting to vape.

I've often said I wish ecigs had been around when I was a kid starting to smoke. May be I would have vaped and never become a smoker. I might, or might not, have lived longer, who knows the time and place of their own death, but I would have saved a hell of a lot of money. (Cost of ingrediants for a year supply of DIY is $30. A year of smoking, $3,000.) If governments and their chronies weren't horribly addicted to tobacco taxes everybody would love ecigs and the inventor would get the Nobel prize in medicine. That conflict of interest is so painfully obvious it's funny sometimes.

Big Pharma has deep pockets.

Can you say Thank You FDA? They are only in the Drug Business to push out the Competition (how's that workin' fer ya). The FDA is just another of the Many Govment agencies that has Sold Their Sole To The Devil. Makes ya Proud Of How The Govment Uses The Money Extorted From Ya, Don't It.

The only thing more addictive than nicotine is certain government officials greed for kickbacks.

For me it was always the fear that if those who make the rules can prove that non smokers are taking up vaping then they have a ready made excuse to curtail it.
I NEED to vape, it was the only way i could stop smoking.

Some of us (i'm in the UK) saw the writing on the wall in regards the draconian measures due to come into force shortly. Some of us knew that the upsurge in vaping would make it open season to the powers that be.
Mine is a selfish reason for not encouraging non smokers to vape. I admit it.
In an ideal world i would have no objection to anyone vaping but in the world i live in i know that popularity = regulation. It has now come to pass and for that i'm sad....

They don't need an excuse, nor do the bother to listen. Legislation and regulation has nothing to do with perception.
It's all about collecting money and protecting existing revenue streams from tobacco.
Vaping could cure cancer and we would still be looking at regulation.

True but... No point taxing something if the revenue is going to be less than the cost of taxation.
I was vaping when it was a minority interest. In the UK now you can't walk ten feet without bumping into a vaper.
Regulation was going to happen anyway just because....
Anyhoo that was my honest response to the OP who questioned why some people (me) got ansty over non smokers vaping. It's all about me..... :D

Things haven't changed that much. There are more people now on this forum who won't give someone grief for picking up vaping without having been a smoker, but there are still plenty who will.

I'm not sure what is up lately, but there's a very divisive attitude running through ECF. Maybe everyone is on edge, waiting for the hammer to fall. This hasn't been feeling like the wonderfully accepting place it once was.

It's been divisive since I joined a few years ago. A core clique that would gang up.on anyone with a dissenting opinion.

The only thing that's changed is that clique is now outnumbered so they complain the site is divisive or unfriendly.

I assume you're referring to me, since I just claimed the site is feeling divisive and unfriendly. What dissenting opinions have I attacked people for? I know that I engage in some fairly heated philosophical debates in certain areas of the forum, but I've never(to my recollection) attacked anyone for what they choose to do. I do take issue with people trying to decide what I or others should be doing.

Why? Non-drinkers start drinking all the time - they don't stop them.

It is Fake Fuel for a BS Fire.

People need to start running their own lives and leave us to ours.
