I've been using my Silver Bullet with the stacked RCR123A 6V arrangement, and here and there I've blown an atty--or so I thought. I've collected a few, and happened to try them on my Riva.

To my confusion, the Riva vaped away on them, happy as a clam. I'd immediately screw them back onto my SB, where they'd go back into vaporless hibernation. Back onto the Riva, they'd wake up again.

Anybody have any thoughts on this phenomenon?

The attys are tripping the circuit protection on your 6v batteries, where they will still work with your 3.7 v setup. Its happened to me when when Ive been vaping on 6v with a particular atty for a while. Put a new atty on your 6v arrangement, till it goes, then try it on your Riva to see if its "all the way" dead. You might consider buying some high voltage attys for 6v vaping with your bullet. I think they will last longer then the regular ones.

Or you might consider different CR123A's? I've used my Tenergys (protected 3.2V) without problems with a 2.2 - 2.4 ohm Joye 510s.

Get a cheap multimeter and start checking the ohms on your attys to see where you're at or what resistance is the threshold to trip you batteries. (everybody should own a multimeter anyway, even if you don't vape). You're not using LR stuff are you?

Or it this, very gingerly with a needle, pry up the little button type part on your SB where your Atty screws in, it could be that the particular brand of Attys your using is pushing that little round part down to far and your not making contact anymore. It has happen to me and all you need to do is pry that part up 1/16'' and screw your Atty back down slowly till it makes contact only, then your good to Go..!! try it, you might like it..!!
