This is an update from my ebay thread. The seller apparently mistitles everything so he can be free of blame. This is his link to the ss 454 I bought

Copper 454 Big Block Atomizer 18650 RDA Clone by SXK SS in Stock US Seller | eBay

It is titled "Copper 454 Big Block Atomizer 18650 rda Clone by SXK! SS In Stock US SELLER!!!" any normal person would think the Stainless steel version is from SXK. APPARENTLY NOT! ACCORDING TO HIM THE TITLE MEANS ONLY THE COPPER IS FROM SXK. Here are screenshots of what he chain mailed me after I told him I got a reply back from the SALES MANAGER OF SXK RIJA LIU. Screen shot of the reply from SXK is included.

Meh. I buy from eBay all the time and rarely have an issue. In the rare circumstances that I do I let eBay handle it. EBay has become much worse for sellers but for buyers it is much better. You can open a grievance with eBay and even print a return label from eBay for the item back to the seller at no cost to you.

Oh, and ebay can read all the messages. I found that out when a psycho bid and won an item from me. She wouldn't pay and kept sending me horrible messages. I kept trying to find out from her what it was she was upset about. I offered 3x to cancel for her. She started using foul language and calling me names and taunted me ("you're so f....... stupid you think ebay can see my messages"). Well, they most certainly can! And they let me out of the transaction after reading them.

Theres an approved supplier list here for a reason folks.

Personally, I steer clear of anything from amazon, ebay and even etsy thats vape related because of this exact reason.

If they were really legit and really cared about the industry or their customers they wouldnt be doing business with the aforementioned companies to begin with...since theyve prety much banned the sale of all vaping related products.

I also have to question the inherent honesty of people like the seller, who know the rules and attempt to skirt them regardless.

That should be your first clue IMO.

I've had good fortune in buying things from eBay sellers for many years, but I haven't bought anything vaping related simply because I find everything I want from online vaping hardware and e-juice merchants (Vivid Smoke, Sure Vapes, Mt. Baker, GotVapes, etc.)

Sorry you got scammed, rlatjr17. Sounds like the guy was just angry that you exposed him. Anytime someone resorts to ad hominems, they forfeit the discussion/debate.

I have found ebay a wonderful place to buy (and sell). I will admit I have a tendency to stick with ebay's "top sellers".

If you didn't get what you ordered find the " resolve a problem" link. Report the item "not as described" ebay will back you 100%, after they see his emails, you will win your case almost immediately. Conceivably, with those emails to you they will suspend him pretty quickly. They will send a shipping label to you (at his expense). You will have your refund as soon as the item is delivered.

The lying about products descriptions and manufacturers names isn't just Ebay though .. its all over the internet, and most people buy things at face value thinking that if the vendor said it, then it must be so. :glare:

Speaking of scams, there is a huge one happening right in this section of the forum, and its so blatant and obvious to the point of being comical.

No offense, I wasn't even going to reply but the "trusted supplier" means nothing more than a company that paid to have themselves listed.
Look at the negative review forum you'll see just how trusty some of those vendors are. Not knocking the vendors here, 99% of them are awesome, but that doesn't always mean the grass is greener on the other side.

None taken.

The part about paying to have themselves listed is only half the story however.

As an ex-supplier I can tell you theres a pretty strict set of rules and standards that vendors are expected to follow to do business here.

Whereas, the ones on Ebay arent even supposed to be there to begin with. So, if theyre being dishonest with Ebay right from the start it shouldnt come as any surprise when they treat someone else the same way.

Negative reviews of vendors ARE read by those of us here and just add an additional layer of protection and at least some recourse for the injured party as well.

Unlike ebays broken ratings system
