Has anyone read any of the other stuff outside of the V4L forum? Such as topics under campaigning or health and esmoking? There is alot of real stuff going on outside of what great things we ordered and how wonderful V4L is etc! I am just pointing this out because there is a real threat of all of us losing this wonderful thing we found! Not sure what Im going to do about it yet. I think Ill just stay here in the bubble where its safe and warm.
Steve, Mark, Leaford, whats going on out there? What real concerns should we have? What should we do? What can we do? The reason I ask this of you guys is because I understand that the vendors have formed an association and are discussing all of these big questions.

i actually haven't read out there, really, but i know that there's a chance the FDA will ban these? i can't imagine why, though, i mean.. when you hear people talking abou doctor reports and xrays becoming clear... yes, it's not 'hugely tested' yet, but can it really be worse than 353453453 chemicals and tar in analogs?

if i were a more rich girl, i'd be stocking up more than i have now. i am set for maybe 4 to 6 months, and maybe will make smaller orders here and there just to be safe. i hope it doesn't go away. :(

The FDA will try to control these to make more money. If they can not make money then they will try to ban them. It is all about money the FDA does not care about health.

Question: In the event that this did happen, couldn't V4L or some like-minded company just pick up shop and move their base of operations overseas?

It might take longer to get our orders and cost more for shipping, but it'd just mean we'd have to manage our inventory better.

I feel like once a technology like this hits the mainstream, there is no real way to stifle it. We'll get our juice and our cartomizers one way or another.

Catmommy has a great idea! Seriously though it is a real concern especially for those of you in Virginia. I believe they may already have something on the books there. I thought I read something by Smokey Joe the founder of the ECF about that. Its the FDA, the government, the public perception. I am curious to see the health affects more as research comes out. I like many others that are not well informed but speculate that it must be better than smoking all the chemicals, getting Carbon Monoxide and tar etc in your lungs and blood stream. I just like that I have the chance to be smoke free when I did not see it possilbe before, at least with out dying.

I used to panic..then I realized that all I really, really needed was nicotine and atomizers. V4L is thinking about a mod of some type that will use batteries you can buy from any place that sells normal batteries. (like aaa/aa protected batteries). That should put us at ease on that front.

Then you will need Nic. That's the one thing you should stock up on..unless you really can't DIY with Capella, lorann's or whatever flavors. Then you will need some flavored e-liquid. Check out the DIY forums.

If you have a bunch of cartos..there's your atomizers. With care they last a long, long time. Take advantage of sales..and learn to refill, even if you don't do it now, save the carto's for a rainy day.

People, the thing to worry about is the FDA coming down on the postal Dept. We all depend on that for our supplies. The FDA can ban E-cigs, nic or medical devices all they want..they can't keep any illegal subtance out of the U.S. as it is. But if they involve the Postal Service..that will really hurt us. At least the reputable sellers and buyers. (and please don't pm me about telling ECF secrets..they have already proposed doing this)

Be good boy/girl scouts and prepare..but don't go Y2K about it. Think things through and understand that the wheels of our Government grind slowly.

Do your bit and sign the petions, write letters to your State leaders and above all set a good E-cig example. Talk to people and vape where it is allowed..no in your face commando stuff. keep your stuff well away from kids, one sick kid will do us all in!

What MaryKay said makes a lot of sense. For myself, I'm starting to ween myself off nicotine at the same time as learning how to DIY. If worse comes to worse, I can either DIY or just stop cold turkey. But I'd rather not have to come to that.

I also agree that this FDA thing is a load of crap and it's all about the benjamins to them and the big tobacco companies.
