I just started vaping a few days ago. I am using Vapor King from Vapor4Life.

When I first started, I could taste and smell a very distinct flavor and odor, but now on the 3rd day, all of the sudden, the scent seems to have vanished, and the flavor seems to have dissipated to a degree. I still get lots of vapor, and it seems to be working ok. Now the vapor just smells like (what I originally thought it would smell like) water vapor, with no distinguishable scent like it had before.

Any idea on what is going on?

Thanks.

P.S. I keep trying to post in other forums, and it says I don't have permission. I only seem to be able to post in here, what's that about?

No problem Sintwar, new members need 5 posts to be able to post elsewhere; it's a spam control thing. Now, are you saying you have been vaping the same cartomizer for 3 days and it has started to lose flavor and aroma? If that the case it is probably about used up and needs to be topped off or tossed for a new one, but I might be reading your post wrong.
If you're saying that you have been using the same flavor for a few days and suddenly can't taste or smell it, that does happen to me, I will vape a flavor for a while and then I sort of can't taste it anymore, it's like your taste buds get too used to it. That's when I switch flavors for a while.

I had a similar issue, After vaping my favorite raspberry I started to not get the same strong taste from it..started tasting airy. filled a new carto and still the same. I went to a different flavor and then back and could taste it again.

I also have days where everything tastes great and others when its bleh... erratic taste buds?

I'd say switch it up for a night or two and go back. Also you might have "erratic taste bud syndrome" like me...lol I have good and mediocre days with vaping.

I have had this experience over time. I call it "flavor fatigue". no matter how much I like a flavor, after a while, it just doesn't satisfy anymore. Just like Titan, I switch to a different flavor for a while and all is well after a day or two.

Are you using the same cartomizer for that long? or a fresh cartomizer?

Cartomizers don't taste as good when the juice gets low - dull flavor and at worst you can singe them. I keep my cartos damp. I only use manual batteries which are safer from damage by juice leaks and as soon as a carto taste a bit dry or a bit light or a bit off or is vaping too warm, I add juice. At that point, the carto is usually somewhere between 1/3 and 1/2 empty, needing 6 to 9 drops on average.

I take the carto off the battery, remove the end cap (or pull out the plastic drip tip which I use as a mouthpiece on some cartos), hold a bit of tissue on the threaded end hole, tilt the carto, drip juice into the stuffing (whatever it will soak up easily). Clean up the threaded end, make sure the air channel ie clear, cap and vape.

If you have already been topping the carto off with juice, then maybe you are just getting use to the flavor and aroma because a carto should not be very degraded after 3 days. I can get about a week's use out of a carto is I use thin clear juices. I use 20% or less VG juices, mainly ones that leave little or no flavoring sediment (so I mostly use light colored clear thin juices).

If you are getting used to the flavor, try alternating it with a contrasting flavor (like one sweet, one not sweet)

other things that mess up flavor/aroma...
drinking flavorful, hot or alcohol drinks
food tastes in your mouth
stuffed nose
fans or wind preventing you from smelling the vapor

I got the blank carts and a bottle of Cowboy and have been filling it pretty often. I don't think I have even come close to it getting dry yet.

It was a pretty drastic change going from fully tasting and smelling it, to almost nothing (but still lots of vapor).

When that happened, I made sure to soak it very well, and there was still not flavor.

It's weird though, I was just dragging on it about a half an hour ago, and the flavor and scent were present again, and now I am puffing on it, and the flavor seems to be gone again. Maybe just a hint of it.

I did get a few sample carts with the order, and tried one of them. I could taste and smell it just fine, but popped my cowboy cart back on, and still no flavor.

Just wasn't sure if it there was something wrong with the cart.

My sister vapes and she is the one who walked me through it. She told me her carts last her about a week.
