Does anyone have conflict in the office over the lingering odor that is given off with their ecig/PV ?

I haven't yet but my whole officer area smells like tabacco cherry (I am using Cherry at the moment). It seems to be stronger this week. Could that be a sign that I need to replace my clearomizers ?

It seems like it would be difficult to convince my fellow employees of the innocence of the vapor if it is producing a lingering odor.

Generally speaking the stuff I have been vaping lately smells like fresh baked goods, I kinda hope it lingers around, its a good smell, certainly better then what my office usually smells like.

I did have some pineapple flavor that had a really funky tobacco-ish after smell, but none of my other juices are like that, if anything they are like air fresheners :)

As a side note, I don't really vape in front of co-workers, I would just assume them not have to think about it, and instead just think about how my office smells good when they come in.

I vape in my home office but I'm usually the only one in here. Some flavors are worse about odors than others. Some have a burned chemical smell to them, others smell like candy, and others have very little to no odor. My wife has never complained about it so I guess all is good. If there were a problem she'd definitely say something about it.

I now just vape vanilla and cocoa (or a very cocoa tobacco like WOWbacco) in the office as well as in the car (my fiance is a non-smoker - I am just happy he lets me vape in the car).

I did get some comments when I was vaping Desert Ship in the office, and to be honest it does smell (and that's why it was a good analog replacement). And it would set off my fiance's allergies in the car.

I vape at work in a cube environment at night. I have been using the peppermint 70/30 from FSUSA. It leaves little to zero remainder at the end of the day. But ventilation is very good though, and I am sure that helps alot..

I am a veteran vaper, although new to the forum.
I have experimented with DIY juices as well as many different brands of premade and I can tell you without question that there can be a slight scent and it can build.
This does not mean it is unsafe though.
However, the thing to remember if someone complains is that the flavoring or scent is usually from a food grade flavoring, and unless otherwise stated, is usually safe for inhalation. (some brands' food flavorings such as cinnamon specifically state "do not inhale vapor")
Most of these HAVE to be safe as they are used for baking and inhalation safety is required.

Just something to consider.

We have steam radiator heat and thus little air circulation in the winter. Our TV room measures about 12' x 8'. I'm self-employed, so I'm able to cart whatever I'm working on all over the house, if I want (I usually do my work in my basement office).

As an experiment, I toted a bunch of work to the TV room and put in a solid seven hours of work while vaping away like a madman on a tobacco-flavored fluid. I went through most of the charge in two 750 mah. batteries and had to reload about ten times.

When my formerly-smoking wife got home, she said she noted a slight hint of fresh cigarette tobacco in the air. She said it was not quite as strong as the room in the cellar where I'm aging about 80 pounds of pipe tobacco. (Among all those pounds, there's a 2-ounce tin of pipe tobacco in there with a broken seal, but I'm dipped if I can find it.)

It really does depend on the person. I've got a wife that has terrible susceptibility to smells, perfume, cologne, even scented cleaner and deoderant set off massive migraines. Smoking analogs, even having my hands smell like them, would set her off (the cleaning at the office was almost comical before I came home).

Vaping though, is something that does not bother her at all. Even my 36mg doesn't affect her. Wish I could get the triggers for the other stuff to leave her alone! :)
