I finally got my parts to build my mod tonight and don't have schematics for the board, I didn't look closely at the board last night and the board is at home now so I'm not sure if it is obvious and this is a dumb question or not.

If there is a schematic for this board could I get a link to it, please.

I thought I saw it here in a thread and I searched but didn't locate it.

Thanks a bunch...

I used there switch that came with the kit wish i could be of more help. The switch works fine for the last week with heavy vaping , the 1400 batts just dont last the whole day thats for sure for me .
May i will try and figure oput on how to make one with a 18650 battery but ot sure about how to wire it as i do not have electrical smarts.

Thanks for the replies.

Just from looking at the circuit, pin 1 looks like it may be acting like a relay and the actual 'switching' is done inside the IC, so I'm going to take a gamble and use the tiny 1A switch I have, pin 1 and the switch are also grounded through a 10k ohm resistor, so it's looking promising. I just got the little board kit with the resistors, IC and pot.

I am building a 18650 VV mod, hope it turns out ok.

This is the link to the product; http://www.madvapes.com/Variable-Voltage-Regulator-Board-Kit-Rev-2_p_2994.html it is a board that comes with the components. They have a drawing on the page.

I got it together and it sort of worked, my 510 connector wasn't properly making connection to the atty because the center conductor was too short. While troubleshooting with a DMM I think I may have jumped the + and - on the connector and probably fried the regulator IC; then it would only give about 4.1 volts throught the range of the trim pot for a few seconds and then nothing. I fixed the connector by putting a small ball of solder on the center conductor and then just wired it straight to the battery. I bought 3 vv board kits so I may just replace the chip and try again.

Yeah, that's what I was wanting to do too. If he had a battery box w/ switch appropriate to 2x 18650, then you'd just move the whole thing over into it and wire the batteries just like in the 14500 box. However, I don't see a batt. box like that there.

I've had no trouble with the little switch, and its tactile feel is nice.

Just an fyi, the MV's reg is linear (pretty old school compared to the switching regs out there) and creates a lot of heat (heat equals watts that aren't going to your atty). I built a mod using one of these http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/battery-mods/243045-motorola-vv.html cause I was ordering some other stuff and just wanted to make the postage to Canada worthwhile...they're cheap, pretty bullet proof, great to get your vv modding feet wet,....and plough through batts like there's no tomorrow. They work but for you next vv mod check out the switching regs here http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/battery-mods/247184-list-mod-coverters-newbs.html
