That taste is not the juice, it is the lack of juice.

The 5v mod should be boiling away the juice at a quicker rate and the scorch is coming from a dry coil. Your juice is not wicking to the coil quick enough when you chain vape.

To wick faster, the juice has to be thinner.

I'm sure you know how to make thin juice and thick juice, so I'll leave the experiments with viscosity in your capable hands.

Yeah, but doesn't the e-Liquid "Scorch" when wicking can't keep up.

An Atomizer/Wick is Basically a Heat Exchanger. When the Wick can’t keep up, less Heat is Exchanged. So the Atomizer Wire Temperature Climbs. (Damn that Conservation of Energy Thing!) And then the e-Liquid Scorches.

Kinda like doing a Mini Dry-Burn in your Mouth.

Thinner e-Lquids work Better in Any Atty/Carto or Voltage wicking wise.

Exactly. The residue is being cooked/burned. If we get technical "Scorch" is what happens to happens when there is too much heat on carbohydrates. (Wood is a great source of non fattening carbs.)

Not sure that thinner is always better though. Depends on vaping style in my mind. Chain vaping at high wattage requires a thin juice though. Easy enough to do when DIY'ing.
