so I finally got my first setup on Monday. mvp 2.0 and a protank2 along with an evod. im vaping 18mg juice, I love the flavor and the TH and I haven't touched a cig in 4 days. but I keep getting a very scratchy exhale in my throat. im using a 2.2 ohm coil at 8 ohms. does everyone get this or am I doing something wrong?

I had that issue occasionally using silica wicks. Now I use cotton and that seems to have gone away. It also seemed worse if the coil was dirty. You can try fresh heads and if the problem persists try rewicking/rebuilding the head with cotton.

I have tried using new heads/ heads with different ohms. Doesn't seem to make a difference.

you may just need to adjust to vaping. whether better for us or not, it's still a foreign substance newly introduced to our body that's not essential for survival. the body is bound to react. i had the same thing. had it again when i went from mouth to lung inhales as the back of the throat took a more direct hit. and again as i increased to 20 watts for more vapor.

as long as you're not getting burnt hits, just keep hydrated and take a break when you can. maybe keep some sore throat spray or lozenges on hand for especially irritating times.

another option is to consider a different juice, flavor or pg/vg ratio. one of those may be a major contributing factor as your body adjusts. even moreso, you may just be sensitive to one or more of the above.

When I went from using the Blu to an Ego and juice I got with the Ego's was 100%vg 24 mg not that much taste but didn't bother me. I went to the local B&M got some of their juice at 18 mg 60pg-40vg tore me up. Felt like I was inhaling harmfull chemicals. It took me a while before I could even take a decent puff. If I tried a lung hit it would almost kill me, lol. Even now if I haven't vaped for a little while the first couple will do it to me still.

How did the cotton wick go?

it didn't seem to make a difference. im starting to think it may be a PG/VG thing. I know it isn't a nic issue Cause my mom has some 6mg juice and it does the same thing and im vaping 18mg. the one juice I have that seems to have a lot less of an effect is a higher VG ratio.
