Burning sensation on exhale

Hi everyone, when I vape some of my juices I get an burning sensation in my throat that leaves it feeling scratchy. It only bugs me on the exhale not the inhale.

My question is, is this because of the PG in the liquid or because the nic?

I have vaped 50/50 6mg moo juice from mtbaker and it doesn't seem so bad. But still sometimes is not pleasurable.

I do have some 0 nic juice from fuzion vapor which doesn't give me the burning or scratchiness. I thought I heard that the juice from fuzion is high VG. So I don't know which is causing it.

I had the same thing when I first started vaping, for me it was the nic. It wasn't that the throat hit was too harsh, more of an unclean/scrape sandpaper over my tongue and around my throat. Always much worse on the exhale.

Started with 18mg, all were horrible and I could only take a few draws each time ( not enough to stop needing/wanting a cig).

I got some high VG 18mg and 8mg, (same flavour) I was OK with the 8mg but not enough nic. Next would have been to try high PG 18mg and 8mg to see if it was any better.

I have some 70pg/30vg and 40pg/60vg, all are fine if I keep my nic between 8mg and 12mg although I do have some 14mg that's not too bad.

Some liquids/flavours feel smoother than others, sometimes I can enjoy a liquid and other times of the day it's not so nice.

Just keep buying samples until you find something you can enjoy, you might prefer something with a little mint/menthol (this surprised me but it's not bad).

I now have quite a few liquids I really enjoy, nice and smooth but my vv/vw allows me to still get a good throat hit.

Keep looking, you will find some too

I have gotten used to 30% VG but now I'm out of VG. Still on the same nic strength, 12 mg, but my throat is sore from going from 70 to nearly 100% PG, and I can't vape as much. Looking forward to seeing the VG in the mail.

When you say that Moo juice from MBV is "not as bad" are you saying that others produce this problem more than that one? I ask because I have this problem to a degree with MBV juices & I think it's got to do with something in their flavoring for me. Other brands of juices I use don't produce this problem for me.

HST people do have problems with PG irritation so that's not out of the question. However you aren't using super high PG juice & your nic level's not very high. So if you are not experiencing this problem with other brands of juices with the same pg/vg mix it might also be whatever's in the flavoring that's causing you the problem too.

In my experience with many different juices - here's what I've found: Yes, PG and Nicotine can make for a harsher vape. However, there are several flavors themselves will also do this. I have vaped a mixture of 50/50~18mg Blueberry and it's extremely smooth. I've also vaped the exact same mix of Raspberry, and it was really harsh. (Mind you, I'm a Supplier Associate - so I mixed these juices myself and the flavoring is made from the same vendor)

Now, I have no idea about MtBaker or Fusion - but I would assume it's the same, or at least similar. I could write a whole list of which flavors I've found to be harsh and which not. But the basic point is this: In my opinion, always order a small size of juice if it's your first time trying it (even from your favorite vendor). The only way you will know if it's good for you or not is to try it. What would be nice is if we created some sort of "Harshness Rating" system for each flavor.

I've been vaping for around 9 months.A few times,I've had similar symptons to you..harshness if I exhale through nose ,harshness on in hale at back of throat.For a few weeks I just inhaled into mouth rather than lungs.Thankfully,after a few weeks this problem went away.I don't stick to VG or PG or indeed,to a particular supplier so perhaps the different brands & types of flavours used can have an adverse effect sometimes.

Honestly it seems to be just one vendors juice that does it bad.

Not as frustrating as being disease ridden by smoking eh?

I've read PG and higher nics and certain flavors can cause throat irritations, just like some candies or even foods with spices or some liquors u drink can irritate your throat or tongue etc. Yep many things annoy us but we trudge along......
