I ordered a SD a few days ago. I want to know what the main benefits are. I know the batteries are cheaper, and they last longer.. 8 hours or so.

Is the vapor better? Does the atomizer last longer? My guess is the main benefit is that the battery is longer lasting between charges, and the cost is cheaper. But as far as atomizer use.. no difference whatsoever. Are those the only benefits?

This is an expensive hobby lately. Now if they ban these things, I must stock up on a lifetime supply of atomizers... lol

Linnx--what you bought was a great protable power pack when you get right down to it--and that is key. The battery gives the 901 atomizer a strong and consistant current for a great hit. The life span on the batteries no longer becomes an issue and it goes strong. Coupled with the manual switch. You will be pleased. The only drawback --and this is for only some people, is the apperance and the price. If you can get over those issues, you are going to be a happy camper----Sun

Oh yeah the manual switch. That sounds like fun. The price is no big deal considering it will save me money in the long run.

And having to stock up on 901 batteries.. at 10-15 a pop is a bit pricey.. and to boot they don't hold their charge long. I just want to leave the house, be in the house, whatever, and be good for a good while. I kind of like the way it looks actually.. so that is a bonus!

Hi and you have done yourself a great favor by buying the SD
the main benefit is knowing you bought the finest mod and probably the first real mod built, It is the staus symbol of all of the vaping world
You can show it with great pride and joy and know that the 150 bucks you spent was well worth it, And the resale value holds up like a Honda

The battery life should last as long as it will last, then you need to re charge it, The atomizer, whether you got the 901 or 801 will last like any other, you need to keep it damp at all times,
The fact that you bought it without knowing that much, tells us you heard about the best and you could not resisit. Well, Welcome to the world of Vaping I own the SD, along with several other mods, I bought the VK, cos Smilin did an excellent marketing job and it is a great vape as well, You seem to have allowed yourself to get caught up with the hype and in this case, it is everythiing we all say it is, it is a very good ecig and you will enjoy it, I think you are doing yourself a dis service by asking about it after you bought it. It is having buyers remorse, Don't do that, it was a great purchase, but it is just another fine built mod and you will hear and see many more to come, believe me , I have bought many and will continue to do so, I let the hype get to me Next, I buy the GG, then the Janty Stick, then the next big thing to hit our streets.

Allow yourself to share in the excitment of your purchase and enjoy the anticipation and when you get it and charge it up and take your first big hit and then say WOW that was worth it, thats most of the fun
The anticipation, so save your money, cos something else is coming!!!

Enjoy it

I just ordered my ScrewDriver, my first PV. Battery life was the deciding factor in my decision. Hopefully I will receive it in about a week. I am new to vaping and basically clueless on what what back-up supplies I will need in addition to the basic kit (1- 10 ml bottle of 24 mg liquid, 2-batts, 2-901 atomizers, 4 carts). I understand batteries for the SD are long lasting, so I've heard. I want to place an order for liquid, etc. What items and how much of them will I need do so I don't have to worry about re-ordering for at least a month. Basically, what should a serious vaper have on hand at all times? I am about a pack a day smoker. Once I get may SD, I want to give up analogs completely. Also, appreciate any suggestions for the best SD compatible supply sources.

Screwdriver - the best somewhat mass produced PV you can buy. Between the 1000mah battery and the manual switch, you can heat up that vapor and get great throat hit and it last for up to 8 hours. And when you factor in how cheap the batteries are in compared to an 801 or 901, you will actually save money in the long run.

No buyers remorse here. I'm just starting up some chatter. The only thing I am learning now is that I will need some good atomizers.

So far I've had one good experience and one bad experience with supply. I should probably contact the supplier and tell them the atomizer is bad.. its probably a fake. The element inside is not as elevated as the one that works great.

I have gotten atomizers from myvaporstore and e-smokey-treats that have worked for several months with no problems.

The easily replaced batteries and battery life is the key. I purchased one but rarely use it currently. It produces quite a bit of vapor but the throat hit for me is pretty weak. I'm playing around with different liquids as well.

Worth the cash just to know you can buy the batteries anywhere.
