Just figured I would get myself into more trouble, but I had to share

I had some time today so a few hours at my buddys shop and I made an adapter for the SD to handle 2 3v CR2's for a total of 6V (Unprotected cells) or 1 14500 @ 3.7v (Protected Cells). I machined it from a piece of 7/8" brass. The adapter adds 19mm of length to the SD.

Holy crap!!!!.....Man what a throat hit even on lower nic juices.I am running(Very carefully I might add) on a 901 atty.

Need to make a 801 adapter

Nice mod but I don't get the 6v thing. I tried it and it does give a throat hit but in a burning rubber kind of a way. What's the attraction?

Its definitely a juice eater, 2-3 puffs and you need to re-load. If you keep it wet and take short puffs (6V's sends vapor in your mouth like a freight train) theres no burn and you still get good flavor. Its nice when you need that little extra.

Its not for everyone but I like it......a lot.....

If you decide to sell 'em. Let me be the first to buy. Need an adapter so can have longer battery life with the 14500 battery and a 801 adapter if you build it.

The highest mAh 14500 comes in is 900mAh .If you needed longer life you could use a 18650 2500mAh.
A 18650 = 2 cr123a/16340. The adapter I made is 19mm (3/4") long. To accommodate 1=18650/2-cr123's/16340's the adapter would need to be 32mm long(1-1/4").....Hmm...

Don't think 2-cr123's/16340's is an option, would be 7.4volts to the atty

Trust me when i seen your adapter I checked to see if my 18650 would even fit. Wont go in case. I asked Trog about this very thing. Was told not to run attys at 6 volts! He didnt even consider I wanted to run higher mah for longer battery life. Just said I was stupid for putting 6 volts to the atty.

There are 17500 batteries....17mm wide, 50mm long, same length as AA but wider and around 1200-1300 mah capacity
