Sealed batteries

Does anyone make sealed KR808D-1 batteries ? I have both auto and manuals that I bought from a US supplier and neither one is sealed. I recently bought 1 auto (xl) and one manual (xl) from China (HeavenGifts) and the manual battery is actually sealed. I sure would love to find some autos that are sealed.

There aren't any sealed automatics. They use a vacuum switch to activate, so if they were sealed they wouldn't work.

Okay...I understand that. But then why arn't the manuals that I buy from a US supplier sealed?

I have no clue. Maybe older stock? Or manufactured by a different company?


I have manual Kr8 batteries from two US suppliers (Good Prophets & V4L) and all of them are sealed.

weird...mine is from V4L....and I can look straight into it and see the wiring ????

Maybe you should email them and ask? Maybe it is 'defective' unit?

Obvious glitch in manufacturing process. Any reason to be concerned about this battery?

Other than the possibility of leaking juice into it, it performs as it should?

Maybe the factory had a bunch of auto battery ends left over?

If they're V4L's you may wish to post this in the vapor4life subforum here on ECF.

The manual V4L's are indeed supposed to be sealed, but I think it's only silicon or silicone, I don't know, but they have discussed this before. So someone there probably knows exactly what happened, if your manual is not sealed.
