Trying to figure out how to do a search -- When I search for something I get tons of responses (links) but often it may be used once in a series of 1000 posts and not really applicable to what I was looking for (if that makes sense). Are there any tips to searching?? Is there a way for example to only search in a certain sub forum? Thanks for any help!!!!

Did you try using the Google based search? It's a textbox above the regular forum search box. It works a little better - but you're right, depending on what you search for it can be a major PITA to sift through irrelevant hits.

I search a few different ways here. In the box, sometimes it helps to ask it to display by posts and not threads. Another thing I do is in the advanced search option, I limit the time frame for search results.
