Second attempt at ecigs!

Last year when I gave this a try I ordered smoke stik from the UK. I live in Amsterdam and at the time ecigs were illegal in Holland. Strange given the amount of {OTHER STUFF} you can find, but none the less it was illegal. The smoke stik was terrible and I lasted about 2 weeks. It created a feeling of pins and needles in my throat along with a chemical taste. Disgusting and I just couldn't keep it up. I was in Paris with my bro in law who has been successful with a Kanger and Joytech and swears by the them. So he and I went this afternoon to a shop in Paris and I bought 2 Kanger's with 4 10ml bottles of vapor. After charging them I was ready to go and I must say that it is 1000 times better than smoke stik, with both vapor and flavor! I actually think I may be able to make the switch this time around!

I came here for more knowledge about the brands, products, and to meet new people to keep me motivated.

Day 1 is in the bag!

while those extra fun activities are legal where you are from, the talk of them here is not allowed so just keep that in mind.

sounds like your bro-in law got you a pretty decent set up there. Just make sure they can get you supplies like juice and heads if your not able to source them back home. Nothing is worse then looking at the batteries sitting there and smoking because you are missing a component you need to use them.

Yeah I'm searching now and it seems there are a couple of shops in Amsterdam that sell Joytech and others along with plenty of e-liquids. So I should be good to go.

my biggest advice is to embrace the vape and not try to recreate the cigeratte. you can spend a lot of time trying to find a juice that takes like tobacco. Most tobacco flavored juices suck and the ones that are good are just close and will be a constant reminder of what your missing. Try something fruity or sweet. Experiment. Cinamon is a great starter. Strawberry banana smoothie is another. Enjoy the flavor of the vape instead of chasing something that doesnt exist.

once you commit...research and get a good mod and tank. The Ego sticks really dont give a full and satisfying vape. Once you get a device that does variable voltage and/or variable wattage you can tweak the vape to your liking. There are lots of good ones look at the reviews. My all day out and about setup is the Innoken MVP 2 with a Kanger Mini Protank 2.

Ecigs are now legal, the prob is that there aren't many shops since it just came to be about one year ago.. I can order online, but one thing I enjoyed about the shops in Paris was the ability to taste the flavors before committing. I have found 2 shops online with a physical store and both seem to have a decent selection. Will try to get over there on Saturday to check them out.

That's the big one!

I tried e-cigs back in 2009. Not even for a full day. Horrible experience. I was convinced my only option was cold turkey and didn't want that so I just smoked on. (and on and on and on...).

Amazing how this industry has changed for us in 5 years. I figure by 2020 I'll be stealth-vaping rectally and won't even need hands anymore.

I just feel bad for you that you bought an expensive and useless kit in the first place.

The market is just horrible for taking people's money.

Well the dude in the shop gave me the second kit for free. I paid 37 euro for 2 kits and 28 euro for 4x 10ml of vapor. Overall not bad and still less than what I would have paid for a weeks worth of real cigs
