After all the good comments flying around regarding Carto's I went ahead and purchsed a 6 pack of KR808-D1 prefilled with menthol.

I only have RCR123A bats in 6v configuration and after trying with the KR's I found it might be a bit too much for them. I then came across the a thread talking about the cotton in Carto's getting burnt and that concerned me.

In the spirit of keeping trying I have since ordered a very large number of Carto's V2 in the 510 config directly from Microcig (China).

These Carto's do not have cotton in and therefore are less likely to harbour bacteria. They are designed to be refilled and has a special hole for a blunt syringe needle.

So my question is has anyone tried these new generation carto's and if so are they compatible with six volts?

Should they not be I am planning on picking up some AW IMR18650's from Lisa and will vape them in a 3.7 configuration.

I don't believe you will find any standard cartos that are designed for decent 6v vaping. Emonty has had some success, but I have not, they all taste wrong at 6v to me, unless I am just using CR2s - then some cartos are fine.
I am having special ones made, I hope these will perform better at higher voltages but I can't be 100% sure until I have run full testing on them.

Premium cartos from V4L work fantastic for me. At 6 volts.... No burned taste and mega vapour. The plain jane V4L cartos and Eastmall DPV9's get too hot at times and are best suited to CR2's. :2c::2c::2c::2c:

I'm surprised. I purchased the premium cartos from v4L and they get so hot (2 tenergy cr123s for 6v) that I can't even use them. They start melting the sticker on the carto! I've used the "cool carts" from them and had a much better experience.

Grimmer, they have almost a paper like substance inside the newer reg 510 & LR510 Carto's I'm currently using that I just got in about 3 weeks ago and some more this week as well, its not the regular cotton like stuffing or batting you are use to, it's kind of cool it's like this folded tough paper kind of rolled and folded up when you look inside of mine. cant post a pick right now but me or someone will for ya unless you just ordr some, these new LR510's are quite different and I like em as well as the regular 510 carto's for 6v

The most details I have are:

RS-cartomizers-filling.jpg

I am not sure what the filling is, but it would appear it is not cotton.

I do hope then perform okay at 6 volts... <fingers crossed>

Ask them what ohm rating they are. I looked at the website, but the cartomisers don't show up, I get an error... Do you have the direct link to them?

be patient, some Chinese servers are really slow, I have ordered some cartos from them yesterday and took me 20 minutes to do it ..pages load soooooo slow
Also I don't know if they speak English :p - I asked some questions regarding the cartos and they answered - sorry, manual batteries sold out ..
Anyway, they are so cheap it's worth to try
I'll dissect one and put pictures after I get them

Yes Mick.. my better half is Chinese so she spoke directly to them and e-mailed them in Mandarin Chinese. One thing is for sure... it's a slow drawn out order process with very expensive shipping. Assuming these things are good I hope UK suppliers pick them up as there is no substitute for placing an order and getting a nice tissue wrapped parcel from Cloud9 the following day :D

true, if you buy 4-5 cartos, but if you buy more ,you end up cheaper anyway
I've payed $75 for 60 cartos including delivery - that's not too bad.

Oh yes indeed agreed. I have ordered several litres of juice, 400 carto's (god I hope I like them) and a load of disposable cigar kits (the ones that come in metal tubes) and an assortment of other bits and bobs like attys. All in all over 10KG of kit.

Mmy shipping was nearly $90 dollars. The rates to Oz are significantly cheaper

I could of ordered less but then the pain of the delivery charge (which has a $25 minimum to the UK) and time scales involved just did not seem economical.

There certainly are economy's of scale involved.
