just being in the "box" breathing normally will fill your lungs with 2nd hand smoke and when you hit the mod...
obviously the "Minds of Power and Wisdom" didnt think about Vapers who dont Smoke and dont want to be subjected to an enviroment filled with 2nd hand smoke either.... If one vapes exclusively, one can be considered a non smoker....

hi steelreserve,

1. consider it lucky that you have a place to even go to smoke at while at work.
2. at my work, we have to leave property to smoke
3. i vape discreetly, at my desk, sometime at the back patio, sometimes in restroom, sometimes at my desk.
(co-worker immediately to my right doesn't mid)
4. i think as long as you are discreet, you should not have to vape in the smoke-filled box.
5. even let my HR people know that i've quit and that i'm vaping instead so that they can understand what they are seeing.

i think a balance between discretion and simple practicality is good rule of thumb.

Just a little rant. Where I work they are not vape friendly and certainly not smoke friendly. They treat the smokers like there infected and the non smokers might catch something. All the smokers have to go outside and in a glass box about the size of a bathroom. As if going outside wasn't good enough. I'm not allowed to vape inside and I have to go in the box. Quarantined with the rest of the dregs. But it's just not enjoyable for me because I haven't smoked an analog in 2 years and the smell gets to me. Not to mention all the second hand smoke floating around. And I think I'm getting second hand because I use a trident rba and I think the smoke just goes through the air holes and into my lungs. Anyways thoughts or comments would be much appreciated.

I use to use one of these when I was at school since carrying my everday draws too much attention..

eCiggo Electronic Cigarette by Vapage

It was 10 bucks when I bought it so I figured why not.. Thing I notice with people is if they don't understand the dynamics, if it looks like smoking they assume it's just as bad without seeing the data. I did a research paper for english this year on vaping.. My teacher was surprised by what she learned from it.

I'm surprised the non smokers don't rant and rave about the smell of the smokers (and you) after returning from break. I travel a lot and the few airports that still have smoking rooms, man you don't have to light up in there (I just started vaping exclusively 2 weeks ago) so your company's smoke box must be the same. You are probably getting more second hand smoke just breathing in that box than what you pull in through your RBA.

Get yourself some unflavored or a flavor that doesn't give off a strong smell and stealth vape. If you drive to work your car is another option. Are you forced to use the "box"? Maybe stand just outside on the side farthest from the bldg. so it looks like you are there and don't blow clouds.

As others have mentioned try talking with the boss or HR.

Wait... Can't u just go outside? They can't force you to go into the "smokebox". They'd hear from my lawyer. Go to your car. Cross the street or whatever. Your not pushing me into an enclosed space with a bunch of CIG smokers... I quit for a reason.

I can understand them not allowing it in the building. Do I agree? Not really, but I understand. Them saying you can't outside either? You have to go into some "smokebox"? They can get on their knees and I don't want them to prey...

"The rest of the story is that there is no current evidence that passive vaping poses any significant threat to the health of bystanders. Thus, I do not see any public health justification for banning vaping in public places at the present time."

Even though more and more studies show the same results
apers are subjected to the same "un-educated" stigma as analog smokers.
Stealth is the word for now.
Disagree with the way the post was presented lds714...
